“I can confirm most of it, from what I’ve witnessed.” Drizzlecloud stated, sounding almost awkward, but she was being truthful. “I’ll tell you what I’ve understood and why I sent her here. A kit ran out of camp, and when Moonheart headed off to bring them back home, they decided to take–or, uh, allow? Not totally sure–another kit out of camp to go and find them. I ended up finding all three of them out at Haggard Ruins.”

With a frown, she glanced towards the warrior that she had sent here in the first place. “It’s dangerous– and quite frankly irresponsible to allow a kit outside of camp. Those were my thoughts when I sent Moonheart in here.”

That made a bit more sense. Bumblestar huffed out a short sigh, nodding briskly to Drizzlecloud before turning her attention back to Moonheart. "I wish you'd recognized that before you did it," she said shortly. "If anything'd happened to Flaxkit, blood or death would be on your paws. You got lucky. Drizzlecloud's right, it's incredibly irresponsible and not a good look for a full-grown warrior. So what I want for you to do is tell me how you think you can turn this around for yourself."

A small little spark, near the nest that Bumblestar slept in, a tiny unnoticeable flash of light... and once the metaphorical, spiritual dust settled there was a cluster of daises perched up next to the mossy nest. From an outsider's perspective they were nothing more than flowers. Stems that were worn and petals that drooped made them a little lackluster, but they still held a bit of a sweet scent to them.

They slumped against the nest as the night settled once more, perhaps even running the risk of being overlooked. But they were there.

Bumblestar could hear him. Outside, just waiting. Lurking. It was incredibly disconcerting and one hundred percent solidified her preference of cats just walking in when they had something to say. And she was tempted to reached out there and yank him inside by his ears.

Thankfully he FINALLY entered of his own volition. She was already sitting up straight as he pushed his head in, and she shot him an irritated look. "Stand outside without saying anything any longer and I'll smack you. What?"

Well, she was certainly cranky today. He bit back some sort of snappy response, instead opting to just ignore her snappiness. He stepped fully into her den and sat down, immediately launching into what his point in being here was. No point in idling any longer and getting smacked.

"With all of the tension going on between the Clans, and the ever-present threat of more disasters like what happened with our old camp, I think it would be wise if we actually had some sort of plan in place to evacuate the camp. Further, we should practice that plan, so everyone is ready if we need it. Obviously, retreating is a last resort, but it's better than getting the entire Clan ripped apart.

"If we actually have some sort of plan, and we practice that process, we'll be in much better shape if anything actually happens. Cats with defined roles- help the kits and elders, help the sick, hang behind and be the cats to check the dens after everyone else has fled. Everyone should know a place to meet, and a back-up place if the first is compromised. It's better than having everyone running around like maniacs trying to figure out what to do."

Drizzlenight hated the idea of a camp evacuation more than most. The idea of fleeing and backing down from anything was something that made his claws curl and his blood boil. Still, he wasn't a moron. Not all battles could be won, as the Haggard Ruins were evidence of.

“I… I’m sorry, Bumblestar..” Moonheart said, taking a deep breath and looking at her paws. “I.. wasn’t thinking straight. I should have stopped Flaxkit. But I was scared. And I took a kit out of camp, none the lesss to a dangerous place. I’m really sorry, Bumblestar.” Moonheart said, looking back up at Bumblestar.

Bumblestar poked the den floor with a claw, contemplating. Maybe if he showed up at their border with "kitsitters", medicine cats, it would be at the very least a neutral interaction; whoever brought Twilightstar or Fallownose or even the both of them would understand it to be diplomatic.

Or they could take his mere presence as an insult and slaughter all three of them.

"I'm not takin' the risk of pissing them off more than we already have," she said after a moment. "Would rather play it safe than have 'em see you even being near them as a threat or a call for war. Just do it at the Gathering. More secure that way. If they ask for anything else, so long as it's not too extreme, I'll see about playing compliant. Just this once."

A solom nod came from the tom as she spoke up. She was probably thinking the same thing he was after the thought had left his maw. Drizzlecloud was one of the few he actually came to like which was a new feeling. A friend imagine that.

With a quick dusting off, taking a moment to pluck anything from his tail. Spiderthroat turned and began to make his way out of the den. "Fair enough. I'll do it than. We can play nice for now, I'll do my best to go alon' with it. For as long as I can anyways."

Wildtwist limped in. Stars, how did that fishface do so much damage? Leaf's ear perked up at mention of poision. "Bumblestar, apologies for interupting, but I don't think you'll have to worry about them anymore. I drove a cat out of cattail pond earlier. Had poison scent all over them." The longhaired hornet turned to reveal the mark the cat had left him. "Gave him a good nick in return. I would like permission for a search party to find him. Want to make sure he can't stir up any more trouble," leaf requested, putting most of his weight away from his scarred side.

That's not what I'm asking - I want you to tell me what you can do to prove to me you're actually responsible enough to be allowed kits or even call yourself a warrior, 'cause right now I'm not seeing any such thing."

Bumblestar inched back to give him some space and matched his posture, head tilted critically as she watched while he spoke.

"Pretty decent idea." It was something that should have been implemented a while ago, in all honesty. "An evacuation plan would make getting outta here when needed a whole lot easier for sure. If you wanna work that out, you can run it by myself and the other ranks, and my Hornets, to make sure it functions well and we're in the loop, 'n then launch some kind of event to get the rest of the Clan in on it. That sound okay with you?"
