Tinykit dashed away, giggling with delight. She loved bugs! She stuck her nose into bushes and crevices, searching for the perfect specimen. She lifted up a rock- but there was no bug. She moved on to the next stone and found a huge green beetle. Well- huge for a kit anyways. 'Hi there! You're gonna come with me back to my mom so I can show her!' Tinykit crouched down and let the insect crawl on her paw. She lifted her paw up to her head and giggled again. With the beetle riding on top of her head, she trotted back over to Poppyseed. 'Look momma! I found a green beetle! Isn't it the most humongous bug you've ever seen?'
"Oh my!, That is the biggest bug I've ever seen! Good job Tinykit!"
Poppyseed scooped the beetle off of Tinykit's head. "Now the next thing for you to find is a clump of cobwebs!
Do you think you can find some?"

Tinykit ran off again, but then realized that she had forgotten to put the bug down! It was probably having the ride of its life on her head! She ran back to her mother and scooped the beetle off of her head, setting it down gently. Tinykit then ran off again, in search of cobwebs. She found a few under a bush and gathered them up. They were really sticky! She walked back to Poppyseed and announced what she had discovered. 'I found some momma! But now they're all stuck on my paw! But aren't they neat?'

BEETLEKIT
Male Tortoiseshell 2 Moon-old kit with feline eosinophilic keratitis and Cerebellar Hypoplasia
Beetlekit waddled out the Nursery, or the den he thought he was in before. Is this all real? Or was this just what he thought he was? What if he was really a bird? Maybe he was living his entire life wrong. Maybe the reason why he couldn't walk properly was because he was some kind of creature who was supposed to fly or swim. Maybe his life was a lie.
What if all the clans didn't exist? What if- Nevermind. He would find out in time.
He avoided anything that wasn't green. He couldn't see like most cats said they could, he could only see colors. He hated it.
He couldn't tell if the gray cat he was staring at was a cat or really was just a rock. He could never tell anything apart. Everyone looked the same. Or at least had the same colors as really everything else.
Suddenly, he bumped into something. Just in case it was a cat, he backed up. "Sorry-"
Juniperkit gave a light nod, “Why are there so many rules, like why can’t we have lots of friends”

Okay. He was bad at this. Seriously bad at this. It was a good refresher for himself too, but still. He... Did not like giving this lesson. Worse than the kit classes. Oh hopefully he'd find a replacement soon, because skies he would not be able to keep up with this; well, at least the kittens are calm. So this ought to proceed smoothly. Alright, with no further questions, he moved on with the rest of the code. Oh wait, there was one question: "We can have a lot of friends, but we need to stay loyal to your clan too."
The tabby answered with a subtle shake of his head. "That being said, within reason, we can and are expected to help others who are in danger, regardless of where they come from. Similarly, and this is very important: a warrior doesn't have to kill in order to win a fight. You understand? A fight is won when your opponent quits fighting back, you do need to go further than that."
He paused at that, letting his words sink in. This was one rule he lived by himself, and one he found important others knew. "Let's continue; you know the rule about prey?"
Surely they've heard of it before? "It should be treated with respect - not played with, only eaten. And you might've seen this before, but new warriors silently guard camp for a night after their ceremony, it's called a vigil. Speaking of requirements, kits are to complete their requirements before becoming apprentices, like you are doing now, just like a deputy is usually chosen within a moon of the predecessor. Any questions?"
He rattled off what he remembered hoping to end this class quickly, though leaving it open for any final questions. That should be everything (he really was bad at teaching this).

Moonkit tilted her head, “what’s prey?” She meowed.

'Uhf!' Tinykit jumped as some cat followed with her. She heard an apology and she responded quickly, eager to befriend the cat. He looked around her age! 'Don't be sorry, it's okay! My name is Tinykit, who are you?' She managed to get the last bit of cobweb off of her paw as she spoke. She glanced at her mother and sat down. As much as she wanted to continue her scavenger hunt, she was sure it could wait a few minutes for her to make a new friend.
