"Nasty like how?" Maggotkit prompts, head lolling to one side inquisitively. "Did they eat your leg?" A new question drops in a matter of seconds as Maggotkit's pale yellow eyes indiscreetly zero in on the older's cat physical differences. "Or..." Maggotkit squints thoughtfully, still staring without shame. "Or did badgers eat it. Or,"
Its voice drops into a conspiratorial whisper: "Did bunnies eat your leg...??"
Goodness. Imagine. Maggotkit's imagining it and shaking all over with the effort it takes not to laugh.
Houndhop laughed “Nope, have been three-legged since I was a kit." The brown tom quickly purposefully toppled over to make Maggotkit laugh.
Vinepaw lay restlessly in the clearing, the shadows of early dusk stretching long across the ground. His usually bright blue eyes were clouded with fatigue and worry. He shifted uneasily, trying to find a comfortable spot, but sleep eluded him.
The nightmares from the previous night had left him on edge. Images of dark, shadowy figures and foreboding, twisted landscapes haunted his thoughts, making it difficult to relax. Each rustle of the wind or distant sound seemed magnified, as if it were a threat lurking just beyond his sight.
He glanced around the camp, his senses heightened. The familiar sights of his Clanmates moving about and the soft murmur of their conversations did little to calm his anxious mind. Vinepaw’s whiskers twitched, and he gave a small sigh, trying to shake off the remnants of his dreams.
Determined not to let his fears show, he forced himself to appear calm, though the unease gnawed at him. He hoped that staying active and engaged with his Clanmates would distract him and bring him some semblance of peace before nightfall.

After finishing of a plump mouse, Harewhisker glanced over their shoulder, only to see Vinepaw. He looks sort of worried, or maybe thats just me. they wondered, cleaning their face after their meal. Harewhisker opened their mouth to speak, but their throat was dry. Without realising, Harewhisker was staring awkwardly at the apprentice.
Toppling over like that is a surefire way to send the kitten over the edge into another cackling fit. It bats harmlessly at Houndhop, imagining that it's just knocked him over with all the dazzling brute strength that's surely stored somewhere in those twiggy, unimpressive arms.
"Oh. So...your mama ate your leg?" Maggotkit asks, puzzled as it hops a little closer to the warrior, sitting near his face. It's making a point to move with one paw tucked up close and off the ground, emulating a three-legged gait just to try it out. It can't really wrap its mind around some cats simply being born different yet. Its own mother is missing a piece of her tail, but in all the stories she's told about why that is (because for some reason the story is always different), it's usually because something ate the other part.
Maybe that's why Maggotkit's convinced someone ate a piece of Houndhop. Or maybe it's just a morbid child.

“Ah!" Houndhop exclaimed jokingly “You've got me!" Standing up, the tom smiled “Hah, nooooo. I was born like this. Some cats are born with no sight, hearing or voice, or even taste!" Hopefully that would stop its...delightfully morbid explanations
The night was clear and serene over the WindClan moorlands, bathed in the soft, silvery light of the full moon. Vinepaw quietly slipped out of the apprentice den, his excitement palpable as he headed toward the edge of the clearing. The hill, his favorite stargazing spot, promised an unobstructed view of the night sky. He wanted to go there
As he walked over to the edge and settled onto the soft grass, Vinepaw looked up at the vast expanse above. The stars glittered like scattered diamonds, and the moonlight painted the moorlands in a gentle, ethereal glow. He traced the familiar constellations—the Great Hunter and the Starry Wind—feeling a deep connection to his clan’s history and the warriors of the past.
The peaceful solitude of the night made him think of how much more enjoyable the experience could be with friends. Vinepaw’s thoughts turned to his fellow apprentices, and he decided to share the beauty of the night with them.
Returning to the base of the clearing , Vinepaw padded back toward the camp. He found his closest friends, Rabbitpaw and Cardinalpaw, talking by the edge of the camp. “Hey, do you guys want to come stargazing with me?” he asked eagerly. “It’s a perfect night for it, and I think you’d really enjoy the view from the hill.”
The thought of sharing the night sky with his friends filled him with anticipation. The stars seemed to twinkle brighter, as if inviting them all to join in the quiet splendor of the moorlands under the moonlight.

Daffodilpaw heard the sounds of a running cat and noticed the rustling grass. She bounced over, slowing as she got closer, ears alert as she crept forward. There! She saw the darting buzzing body before she heard it. Her eyes fixated on the bee and she waited for the perfect moment...until suddenly she lashed out at it and swatted it out of the sky. The bee hit the ground hard, the buzzing silenced. Daffodilpaw shook herself, somewhat in disbelief that she hit such a darting target. It was as if her eyes guided her paws before her mind could.
She looked around for the cat that made the ruckus that attracted her attention in the first place."It's okay now! You can come out!" She called.
