Her eyes scanned his face for any sign of despair or grief. "Goodnight," she said. She grabbed her bag while still laying on her stomach on the floor, she started to get up. "Get off my couch," she joked. She pulled out a chocolate protein bar a chucked it at his head.

Blake yelped and got off. "All right, All right!" He trudged off into the bedroom and tried to sleep in the bed, but somehow he couldn't get comfortable. After five minutes of trying to figure it out her realized he was too comfortable to sleep. Off to the floor then. He grabbed a pillow and sat on the ground for a moment before he grabbed a folded up Polaroid picture from his pocket. The picture was o him and his sister the summer before he was taken and his parents were shot. They were sitting on the dock by the lake at their house, and their feet were in the water. Blake had a piece of grass hanging out of his mouth, and was grinning ear to ear. He had braces and visible freckles and a perfectly straight, unbroken nose. Lotus was splashing him with the water, he eyes sparkling with happiness. This was one of his happiest memories, and he kept it with him. Still, he just couldn't sleep.

Serenity really wasn't accustomed to the couch, for some reason, she felt she had the need to keep him happy. She couldn't sleep, luckily the old, musty couch didn't make any sound because she was restless. She kept tossing and turning because, 1) She was uncomfortable 2) she didn't want to have another Nightmare about the death of her parents. She finally gave up on the couch and moved to the floor. It was better but she was now really cold. It's better to be cold than not get any sleep She was almost asleep when she started shivering. She felt annoyed with herself and just stood up and plopped on the couch staring at the wall. She was still shivering but it wasn't as bad.
