Pumpkinpatch trotted alongside Houndchaser carrying Smokepaw. The apprentice's wet fur soaked the Thunderclan warrior to the bone as she made it to the border shivering. Softly, she set the apprentice on the ground. Then, she sat and waited until two Shadowclan warriors approached.

She was doing the right thing. Bumblestar on the other paw….a disrespectful cat to say the least when it came to this. A fellow being let alone apprentice’s body should never be thrown around the border. They silently questioned Bumblestar’s motive. She was starting to sound more and more like Dawnstar in a way. God this whole situation was such a fox trap. “I’m only here as backup if a fight breaks out….you’re doing the right thing and I hope you know that. No child deserves to be just thrown over and left to rot, I would’ve thought Bumblestar would know that after Dawnpaw, I guess not” The warrior was absolutely furious at Bumblestar for even suggesting that, but right now they had much bigger things to handle, like what the hell Flameheart had instore for them when this patrol got home.

Sorrelflare walked with Wildpaw to the Thunderclan border, tail flicking as he noticed the same strong scent of Thunderclan, stronger than just the border. So he was right there was some warriors and as he left the marshy pine that meet up with the slightly marshy area between the two, being on high alert of the two warriors but with the body of a dead apprentice, ones whose name left him at the moment as he turned his yellow eyes at the warriors, tail twitching slightly before he spoke, "How do you have a body of one our apprentices?"

greaat. thunderclan at the border, AND with a dead shadowclan apprentice. as much as wildpaw couldn't stand her peers, they were still of her. they were just as much shadowclan as she was, even if they were the furthest from pristine as one could get. in the end, she didn't care all too much, but this could become an issue if thunderclan thought it was okay just to murk their apprentices. rolling her eyes, she spoke. "aww, whats this? coming to apologize for killing off our apprentices? that's totes adorable, and super typical of you thunderclan people." her tone was deceptively sweet as she talked. memories of that border skirmish resurfaced in her mind, she liked to bury them but the fact that a similar situation seemed to have happened brought them rushing back. she showed no concern on her face however. "so, how'd you do it? did you cross over our border again and killed them so they wouldn't tell? you thunderclanners are really unoriginal, must be because of how utterly dull you are!" a cold look of sympathy came upon wildpaw's face, she would be sure to inform dawnbestie of this.

Pumpkinpatch's ear twitched at Wildpaw, what an annoying apprentice. She nodded a thanks to Houndchaser.

"For one, no Thunderclan killed him. He drowned, he's sopping wet can't you see? Which means HE went all the way to our Riverclan border. He tried saving one of our apprentices, Galepaw. But they both died," the calico warrior stayed where she was, unmoving.

"I could have just thrown him over the border, so at least be grateful I'm not disrespecting the dead," Pumpkinpatch snorted at Wildpaw. She wasn't looking for a fight, she just wanted to be respectful.

“I would be thankful we didn’t skin him like you all did to Dawnpaw, check yourself and watch your mouth before it gets you killed” They directed that straight to Wildpaw, now standing up and walking closer to the group. “We want zero trouble with your pitiful clan, disrespecting the dead is only something your leader allows. Our clan has some standards, we didn’t need to return him to you! ” Houndchaser grumbled towards the cats on the other side. “Pumpkinpatch, let’s leave before another fight breaks out, we have enough on our paws right now” The warrior spoke to the fellow warrior. Turning around and beginning the trek towards camp, if Shadowclan crossed the border only then they would turn back around, starting a war wasn’t worth wasting the herb, especially without a proper medinice cat or herb supply.

Sorrelflare lips drew back into a sneer at the warrior before he nodded. He knew Dawnstar would shred him if he started anything and he wasn’t in the mood for that. He grabbed the body of the apprentice by the scruff after he spoke, “Maybe watch your apprentices next time and one of ours wouldn’t have died.”
