Maplekit looked around the nursery from the comfort of his nest, watching from afar over as Queens tended to their kits who were trying to crawl their way out of bath time. He also watched the other kits playing mossball with one another. The familiar scent of his peers and watching them play brought a comforting feeling over the young kitten. He started to purr softly, and instinctively begun to knead his below him nest happily.

Well, it looked like only four woke up. That was fine. The queen licked their ears, and stood up, stretching, letting her remaining kits continue to snooze. "So. A game, my babies. Want to learn mossball? Or we could do hide-and-sniff." Ferncurl smiled warmly at Blossomkit, licking his ear. So adorable... She wondered briefly why his ears hadn't moved, but dismissed it as a kit thing. She waited for them to respond.

Well, Daykit wanted to go back to sleep. Ugh. The chimera stood up slowly, shaking out his pelt. Nevermind, he had energy for this. The tom-kit pounced on Lionkit, grinning at his brother, before tumbling off with an 'oof'. The orange, blue/grey, and gold speckled child stood up. "I wanna try Hide-And-Sniff." Day said curiously.

Pantherkit bounced up when Crowbones walked into the nursery. "Uncle Crow!," the she-kit jumped up and down with excitement. She loved her Uncle Crow, down to the shared black and dark grey in their pelts. Most her littermates were brighter colored, and even her golden pelt was similar, but the dark swirls were something only she had, and she only had them with Crowbones, a trait she was thrilled about.

"There's my favorite neice!" Crowbones grinned, using a large paw to gently, playfully bat the kits side, careful not to injure her. "Don't tell your siblings hm?" The massive tom grinned, winking at her. He was shocked at first when one of Ferncurls kits had melanism like him, their pelt was darker than the rest with intricate swirls like him. He nuzzled his niece's head, long tail flicking as his ears perked.

"How's about I take you on a badger ride? eh?" He snickered, laying down for panther to get on if she wanted.

Pantherkit grinned widely to her Uncle's praise. "Don't worry, I won't..." the kit mewed quietly, trying her hardest to wink back, but eventually just blinking hard at him.

"Ooooh yes yes! A badger ride!," she squealed. The kit steadily climbed onto Crowbones back, latching on with needle sharp claws. She released the grip almost immediately and instead, splayed out across his back.

Mossball? Hide and sniff? Lionkit opened his maw to reply, but instead a "Ngh!" sound came out as Daykit pounced on him, knocking him over. "Hey!" He spat, tail lashing as his sibling pranced around and said they should play hide and sniff. Well, that had it decided for the gold tom kit. "I want to play Mossball!" Lionkit announced.

But his attention shifted quickly as Crowbones entered the nursery. His ears perked up at the offer of badger rides. Mossball and Hide and sniff were quickly forgotten. "I want a badger ride, too!" He announced, standing and waddling over to his uncle as fast as his little legs could carry him. "Me too! ME TOO!" He demanded, trying to climb up his uncle's leg to join Pantherkit.

Ferncurl greeted her brother happily, licking his ears and taking the rabbit gently. When he announced badger rides, the golden she chuckled. "Crowbones," She teased, flicking him softly with her smooth tail. "Stop stealing my kits." Then she crouched down. "If you are all so keen to have badger rides, will you let your mother do some?" Fern asked cheerfully.
