"Maybe later, when there's more snow." It looked really fun but she wanted to wait till there was much more snow so they could cover the camp in snowcats!

(took place before snowstorm)

The white initiate woke to a scene of white covering the rocky ground. This is exactly what she was waiting for! Boreas hopped into the snow but quickly jumped back. Her paws were already starting to burn with cold even though she's been out for a little bit. The freezing wind blew her curly fur in different direction and she had to force herself to move towards the call of the crown.

Her orange eyes widened at the announcement. A snowstorm?? Was that really bad? With the way that the crown was fretted it seemed so. She couldn't help but feel interested in the danger of it all. Boreas perked up when he mentioned taking a initiate to help with something but got even more excited when he mentioned her name. A special task for her? (And Rook too but whatever.) The thought make her more warm than she felt right now because of her short fur.

She padded next to one of the cat's who spoke to Ares, probably one of the group too. She rose her chin, trying to look as if the chilling wind was nothing.

Crimson moved away from her friends, giving them both a swift nod before going off to get moss. The snow was sticking to her fur, making her feel more cold. The claw muttered under her breath, steam from the cold, escaping into the air. She shivered, shaking out her fur.

Quiet Hail suppressed her shivering as she listened to Ares’s instructions, nodding obediently. As she began to turn to usher any young she found, she paused. The prey pile…if they didn’t add to it they would all starve. But if the keepers all abandoned their given task to help with other things, the future of the tribe would perish in the cold. Still, had been a gifted hunter before grief and loss forced her to retire. Though she was still reluctant, Quiet Hail turned from her task and trotted smoothly over to Ares.

“I can help hunt.” She mewed simply. It was an offer, she knew both tasks before her were important, so she would allow Ares to decide where to put her to use. Her heterochromatic gaze steadily held his, patiently awaiting a verdict. I am a keeper now, so if he sends me away to do that then I will. But she thought she could at least offer.

A blizzard? Is that what this awfulness is? The little brown cat did not need to wait for a keeper to usher her, she stumbled into the back of the cave she called her den. Curling up into a tight ball when she reached the back.

Cosmo stepped out of the den. His paws were met with a burning cold and a harsh wind buffeting his thick coat. The tom let out a hiss as the cold attacked him. He turned his gaze towards Ares, ears angled forward. Snowstorm? Cosmo looked towards his younger sister, a pang of relief and worry hitting him. Cosmo would rather her stay with Rook. (and the others, but mostly Rook) The tom couldn't help but feel amused at her stoic display, before turning to the task at hand. Moss, feathers, whatever. The tribe needed to stay warm. Cosmo nodded, tail flicking, and set off to collect what he could, trying to ignore the stinging cold.

The Cold Grew. He Couldnt Help But Notice. His Ears Pinned Back As He Looked Around For Ares. He Could Hear Him, But With The Mess Of Cats Around It Was Hard To See The Crown. He Stood Up On His Hind Legs, Catching A Glimpse Of Him.
"Okay. Moss, Bedding, Feathers. Anything Warm."

He Dropped Back Down, Running To The Claw's Den, And Quickly Starting To Roll Up His Nest. A Mess Of Moss, Feathers, And Several Other Soft Things. He Quickly Balled Up The Nest And Ran With It Tight In His Teeth To The Keepers' Den. He Set It Down And Went Around Searching For Other Things That Could Keep The Tribe Warm.

Ariadne looks up from her friends, tufted ears perking at the crown's call. Snowstorm? Actually, she could not be more surprised. Sure, she was complaining about freezing to death earlier, but it's not like she actually thought that could be the outcome. The silvery white keeper quickly jumps up at her leader's instruction, her whiskers twitching. Everyone in the young's den? Will everyone even fit? Some of the rowdier children will literally be crushed if she and the other keepers don't keep them corralled. They'll need to find another solution too, it's a big den- but then again, the tribe has a lot of members. She steps a bit closer to Ares, shivering slightly.

"Will the den be big enough sir? I'm unsure if everyone will fit!" She calls over the howling wind, voice strained slightly.

Of course, she's not going to keep standing around waiting for an answer, she just wanted to put out there that another -more permanent- solution may need to be provided if the storm carries on much longer. So once she finishes speaking she rushes over to the den she sleeps in, eyes scanning for any young children. Oh! There's one. She pads over to Shy Hoarse, picking her up by the scruff and sitting down- she can definitely handle more kids. So she puts the child down gingerly, wrapping her plumed tail around her and giving her a few swift licks before turning her gaze around to look for any more shivering young.

"Kids come o're here! No squirmin' or runnin' round, alright? You gotta stay still till I tell you otherwise! It's reallly cold outside, so you'll hafta come curl up with me so ya don't freeze! Lots of cats will be in here soon, so I want you to hurry o're before you get stepped on!" She announces, an ear flicking as she waits for their little replies.

Blood was getting scrawnier by the day, and the weather sure didn't help. Grrr, you hate me now, huh? He asked unconsciously to the sky, completely covered in gray clouds and little flakes falling everywhere. He shook his short pelt, and a violent trembling started for a moment. "Gah, get yourself together, old cat." He ordered to himself, half sneezing in between.

"ATARI." Ares' powerful voice sounded from behind his cave wall, and beyond the whole clearing. "Time for a' meeting, I see." He commented grumpily, but still raised himself up and padded up to The Crown.
Blood nodded a greeting to him, then turned his gaze to the tribe in search of his lazy apprentice. "Huh, I knew that girl was bound to be a problem."

Finally, a good idea from the high spheres! "Everyone! Leave the little prey to the young and the elders, and make SURE you keep every little feather, fur, and skin with you! Keep it close to yourself and the weakest, if you don't want them dead by the morning." He urged with a squawking voice that maybe hid the worry he felt deep inside.

He was pretty sure that going out with this weather would be trouble instead of help, and that no prey would be found, but he didn't feel like complaining about the Crown's choice right now. Something else picked his interest as he made his way toward Ares.
"A... fox, yes. I noticed it earlier." And would've taken it anyway, heheh.

"That's no problem, Ares. I'm gonna make a clean work with that. Make sure all the flesh goes to the little ones first, alrightcha?" He winked and immediately bit into the predator's tail to drag him inside his cave, finally far from the snow that sank into his pelt and into his bones.

"Oh." He stopped to throw a very innocent warning at the Crown. "If you see Camilla, tell her it wouldn't be bad if she went to me for her first lesson, alright?" He blinked, then quickly retired to his den with the soft prize. Mhh, that lad isn't going anywhere if ya ask me. But he kept the thought to himself.

Scaramouche nodded diligently, grabbing his own nest first and some stray feathers before trudging to the Keepers den. Snow battered at his thin pelt, so cold it burnt. The wind was strong enough to knock his small frame off balance more than once. It was almost embarrassing, but he brushed the feeling away in favor of continuing to the Keepers den. Once he finally reached it, he sat his nest in the back, where the youth would be kept.

Yuki shifted uneasily. She had assumed that something was going on; the air had grown colder. She nodded, sighing as she began to set off to gather anything warm and useful. Everycat should survive.
