Fadingstar agreed with the grand majority of what Dusklion said, except for the part about punishing the queens the next time a kit escaped. That seemed to be jumping the log a little too soon for him.

He opened his mouth to speak, but before he could Spiritbunny decided to start running her mouth. Anger flared in him; while he empathized with her situation, that didn't give her the right to speak to Dusklion like that. He'd made it perfectly clear that there wouldn't be any tolerance for that in RiverClan any longer.

Sweetsap added her own comments after; none that were as harsh as Spiritbunny's, but given Fadingstar's rising anger she wasn't immune from his aim, either.

Stepping between Spiritbunny and Dusklion so that the queen's focus had to be on him, he hissed, "I don't know why you think your situation gives you an excuse to act like that, Spiritbunny, but it doesn't. I don't care if you don't like Dusklion or you don't respect her as a cat; I've made it clear that I expect her rank to be respected. I've had it up to my ear-tips with cats in this Clan thinking that they can say whatever they want to the higher ranks. Dusklion is right to criticize the queens for failing to keep an eye on a one-moon-old child. It isn't solely their fault, and nobody will be getting punished the next time someone sneaks out. But if it becomes a repeat problem, there will be consequences.

"As for you, you're confined to the nursery for the next moon. If I see you going any further than four tail-lengths from the nursery, I'll double it to two moons, then three and so on until you get the message. If you need to leave the area for an absolutely necessary reason, you're to call a warrior over and they can escort you. I don't want to hear another insult or argument out of you, or I'll start doubling your punishment. I empathize with your situation, but your personal difficulties don't give you a free pass to act like that. Go back to the nursery, now."

Swinging his gaze back toward Sweetsap, he continued, "As for you, watch your tone with Dusklion as well. You're right that this isn't just on the queens; I'll be speaking to the whole Clan at the next meeting about this. But it is possible to express that in a more respectful way."

Nodding down to the quivering Strawberrykit, his expression and tone softened. "One of you please take Strawberrykit back to the nursery. I think she's had enough stress for one day. Keep to the nursery from now on, please. You'll be able to explore when you're an apprentice."

...Alright well it seemed like Strawberrykit wasn't going anywhere. Glancing down at the kit, Dusklion heaved a sigh before looking up at the cats gathered around. She was faintly aware of her brother nearby. Good, he'd need to hear this to. "Strawberrykit was found outside camp. Somehow made it past the five queens we have," she called to him over her shoulder, her gaze going to Sweetsap and narrowing.

"Sit down, Sweetsap. Did I say you could leave? Whatever's happenin' in the medicine den is more than handled by Mists or Berries," she ordered, already fed up with the lack of attention to a barely one moon old kit, let alone her order for the queens to come out. Her eyes were narrowed, a silent warning to not get up again. Sweeping over the cats, the deputy just gave a snort at the reactions. "Respect? You want respect for carryin' the young? Okay. Sure. Tell me why I should respect any of you right now when none of you seemed to notice this kid half-way into unfamiliar territory? Which one of you should I respect for that?" Asking for respect for a job they weren't doing was rich, and Dusklion was having none of it today.

"I haven't seen any of you do much of anythin' 'cept stay in camp, which is fine 'cause you're duty is to the kits in the nursery - which is why I find it confusin' how none of you were able to keep an eye on Strawberrykit. She's only a moon old 'n managed to sneak out past all of you. I get it - you got your paws full, you got your own kits, whatever reasonin' you're thinkin' to use to justify this. But whether they're yours or not doesn't matter. Kits are the future of the Clan, and as parents yourselves, I'd expect you to keep an eye on 'em. Unless, of course, none of you care?" The last part is spoken with dripping sarcasm as Dusklion levels her furious gaze at the queens.

"We're in unfamiliar territory. It's been mapped out a bit but nowhere near known as well as RiverClan territory. Hawks could easily swoop down 'n pick kits her size up. The next time I have to retrieve a kit because none of you can open your damn eyes, expect consequences to follow. The safety of the kids in this Clan is not a joke, not to me, not to Fades, 'n it shouldn't be to any of you, either."

Dusklion hadn't really been planning on laying this hard into the queens, but between Sweetsap's disrespect and Spiritbunny's mild hostility, the deputy was in no mood for leniency. "Now unless you've got a dyin' kid in your paws right this second, I don't wanna hear any whinin' about this. You're all grown cats - start actin' like it." With that she glanced down at Strawberrykit. "Featherspirit, since you don't currently have any kits, I want you watchin' Strawberrykit. This doesn't mean its solely your responsibility - that is shared among all the queens - but I need at least someone to keep their eyes on her so she doesn't go sneakin' out again."

"I'm still mourning my mate and the loss of my kits.... Yes i know that doesnt excuse me but.... I respect you and all but when we all are busy doing things we cant see kits straying off all the time.... I was trying to gather food for the queens of the nursery. We all need to eat to keep strength up to keep and eye on the kits Dusklion..... We all are doing our job taking care of kits. We didnt know strawberry had wandered off cause there are alot of kits in there. Maybe get everyone together for a kit game or something at some point. And we can get a head count of all the kits..... ANd Fadingstar I ment no disrespect by what i said, but i felt like it had to be said. I will take Strawberrykit and leave now." Mistyshard wandered around the new camp, her eyes drifting over the rocky ground. The day had been pretty chill, not much to heal lately, which was a relief after all the chaos of moving. She could smell the fresh mountain air, it felt nice and clean compared to their old home.

It gave her a bit of a break, but still, she felt like she wasn't doing enough. Lately she'd fallen a bit back with her tasks, and she barely had any friends in the clan. That needed to change. She liked the peacefulness, but she knew it wouldn't last forever.

Seeing a cat nearby, she decided to go over and say hello. "Hey there!" she called out, waving her tail friendly-like. "How's it going? Getting used to the new camp?" She hoped chatting would make everyone feel more connected. It was important, especially after such a big change. Everyone was settling in more and more, which was good. But she was sure they all missed their old home and wanted to go back.

Mistyshard smiled warmly, her amber eye bright. She waited for a response, trying to seem as kind-spirited as possible, though it was sometimes hard for her to smile in such times. Sometimes, just a friendly chat could make all the difference.

Silentstrike had begun wandering around, trying to find Dusklion and offer to spar with her. He was hoping to get some extra practice in and also wanted to try and help if Dusklion needed it. "Hm... if I were Dusklion, where would I have gone..." he murmured to himself, looking around quietly. @taillow

Waterfrog had just excited the warriors den. Stretching with a gentle grunt. Her bright green eyes gazed around the clearly with a joyful but bored look. Sitting down after munching on one of those strange new rabbits. The she-cat looked around. Her half grey and brown face looking around the clearing as she ruffled out her grey and brown pelt from the slight breeze. Flicking her long tail, Waterfrog sat in a sunny spot.

fishpaw looked around the clearing, looking for someone who might want to play with her, as she was looking around she spotted waterfrog sitting in a patch of sunlight, she padded over to them without any hesitation. "Hey waterfrog!" she said as she sat down next to them.

Cloverkit paid little to no attention to his mama's words, he was to busy trying to climb the back wall of the nursery. Mama had said something about not following and staying put. Well he wouldn't have followed her before but now that she told them specifically not too he was curious. The little black and russet kit watched spiritbunny exit the den debating if he should follow her but THEN!

"Stormkit do you have moss for ears!? Mama said not too follow her!" he shouted at his brother but the kit paid no mind. Oh he was so going to tell mama about this, she was going to be very mad. Wait but that's unfair! Now stormkit gets to see what mama's doing and he doesn't, cloverkit wasn't going to be having any of that. Nu uh. Abandoning his futile attempts to scale the wall of the nursery he bounded to the entrance with wobbly steps, casually tripping as he exited the den. He let out a hiss at how bright it was outside the nursery, he hadn't been outside before. It was so big! Oh- yeah watching mama that's what he was doing! Got distracted-

"MAMA!! STORMKIT didn't listen to you and he followed you outside!!" he shouted but his report was drowned out by his own mothers voice as she shouted at this other cat. Clover didn't know who this other cat was or why spiritbunny was shouting at her but then some other cat, so many unfamiliar cats, and begun shouting at- his mom!? How dare he!! Ignoring stormkit and the other kit, cloverkit rushed to his mother side until he was standing between this stranger and spiritbunny. "Hey!! I don't know who you are but you can't speak to MY mama like that!" he spat angrily. His fur puffed up and tiny, almost non existent, claws unsheathed. "Whatever it is my mama said, she is right and you are wrong so hold your tongue and stop shouting at her fleabrain!!" just to show he meant business, cloverkit lifted himself on his back paws and swiped and the tom infront of him with unsheathed claws. Though he couldn't reach the tom even if he tried, he was two small and so we're his claws but atleast it proved his point. No one messed with his mom. Not now not ever!

Stormkit hadn't heard anything Cloverkit said on the account of being deaf and continued to follow his mom. Stormkit was confused whenever Cloverkit attempted to bat at the other cats. Not understanding that this was an argument. In fact not understanding much of anything really. He just blinked blankly at his sibling and his Mother. Cloverkit was always so rambunctious he didn't quite understand it all. But he knew out of all the kits Cloverkit was the one with the most energy of his siblings. Stormkit would pad over to his brother and begin to try and play with him batting him on the back with sheathed paws thinking Cloverkit was trying to play with the much larger cat. Stormkit decided to volunteer himself for this task of playing with his brother. @burntToast
