Copperpaw had heard just the last parts of Wildholly leaving Snowypaw when he came out of the apprentice den. "You good?" he tried to say with slight hope in his voice. He had never felt like what it would be for your parents to just - Leave you. His parents had died, not that he enjoyed that.

Birdpaw wanted to slow this down. It was hard to watch Snowypaw being abandoned by her mother. It reminded her painfully of her own mother disowning her as a loner kit, a moon before she met Kestrelstar. But the little molly quickly came to her senses and ran over to her distressed denmate, and tried to give poor Snowypaw a hug. "I'm so sorry... y-you didn't deserve that." She said softly, trying to keep her eyes open so the tears would dry up and not fall, because it would be selfish of her to cry. "I know i-it's hard... b-but if she left you like that, then she wasn't really your mom." Sometimes the real parents were the ones that loved you, not the ones who brought you into the world. She knew that for sure.

SnowyPaw gave a hiss to Birdpaw and a snarl at copperpaw. “FOR MOONS NOW I THOUGHT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH ME. SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH ME! ALL I HAVE NOW IS MYSELF! I DONT NEED YOU AND I DONT NEED YOU!” She let out a screech and ran out of the camp.

(She’ll be back, follow her to see a dead body lol)

He opened his mouth to speak but got shup up when she ran away. He exchanged a glance with Birdpaw. "I think we should follow her.." he mumbled worried. "Are you coming?" he flicked an ear, he was standing right in front of the entrance ready to follow her scent. "Or am I going alone?" Birdpaw had to care a bit at least, surely he would want to come with him. Hopefully so.
