"I'm fine, it's just the painkillers i was on after the battle wore off. I'm all sore." Lucas muttered

"I don't care!" Grafil said protectly. He helped Lucas into Tratsui's rather clean house. He set him down on the couch.

"Just my wings, 'cause like i said, their sore. Like they would be for any hybrid who just got their wings yesterday." Lucas said, a hint of annoyance creeping into his voice. He loved that Grafil cared this much, but still, he didn't need to worry this much about something minor

"Graf, trust me. I used to live with a bunch of dragons and hybrids just like me. I get that you're worried about me, and I love you for that, but every hybrid I know has said that when their wings fully grew, they were sore for at least day, because their bodies weren't used to having wings. I promise you, I'm fine. It'll pass in a while. Now are you going to keep worrying about me, or are you gonna give the rest of the magic back?" Lucas asked, showing a surprising amount of resilience. Even when his whole body ached, he was still determined to do the right thing. "Just... make sure I don't use any more painkillers. I'm 90% sure that that only lengthens the process

"I'm still coming with you." Lucas said, getting up. The pain was very slowly fading, but fading still. Besides, it's not like he couldn't walk
