What? They were supposed to set the borders, something he had done... once. And Lionpaw had been there so he had a basic idea of what to do. But now he was just flat out confused. Beastpaw stood gazing lazily after Icestorm before turning to follow him, repeating the act of rubbing up against each boulder or bush, whatever the other did first. A gust of wind blew in from the trees and something tickled his nose, making his eyes start to water. The brown tom sneezed, and in the split second his eyes were closed, he walked into a bramble bush. "Ack! Somebody help! I'm being attacked! It's prickly and I don't like it!" He sneezed again.

The tom heard a yell, quickly rushing over to his apprentice.
"Beastpaw?! What's wro-" he stopped in his tracks as he saw the young cat. "Beastpaw, relax! Nothing's attacking you. It's just pollen and dust. Might make your nose tickle but that's it. Let me quickly wrap this up so we can finish, okay?" and the silvery tom went back to quickly finish rubbing against trees along the border, a warning that this was Windclan's territory.

Oh. That made sense. Beastpaw chuckled with embarrassment as he crawled out from the bush, rubbing the dust from his eyes. How was he supposed to know that it was some ghastly invention known as pollen! He had decided. Beastpaw was an anti-pollen pal. He would do whatever it took to fight it back and make it not embarrass him and not make his eyes itch and nose tickle. He would be triumph. Beastpaw followed Icestorm, mocking his motions as he rubbed his back against the border. Maybe he would request battle training next, something that could help him learn to fight this pollen monster.

They were done marking the border, and so the warrior turned to his partners. "Let's go back to report. Beastpaw. Take a rest and come find me later in the afternoon for training" and with that he was turning towards the direction of camp, trotting back, throwing glances over his shoulder to make sure his patrol was following behind.

The border seemed quiet so far. No scent of any Thunderclan on Windclan's side, which good but expected. Rockwing saw no reason for the squirrels to cross their border just because they had a scuffle with Riverclan. "Alright. Bravebird, why don't you take Speckledpaw down by that tree and get started? I'm not sure if-" The feline broke of as a shrill cawing interrupted him. Sharp yellow eyes flicked up to the trees and saw a large black crow lounging in the branches overhead.

See, this is why Rockwing preferred the moores: rabbits didn't interrupt you. Usually, they would suggest trying to catch the crow, but Windclan was not know for their excellent climbing skill, and that bird was dangerously close to the border. "Right, as I was saying, I'm not sure if Speckledpaw has learned how to mark borders yet. I'll go start marking over there." Another loud cackle punctuated the warrior's sentence, and with a sigh, Rockwing padded over to mark where he had indicated. That bird was going to give him a headache.

Skinny, midnight black tom with a white chest, belly, paw, darker spots and ears, and one colorless like ice eye.

The inky black feline walked peacefully, stopping when the others stopped and listening to only a few key details. He was still glued to his imagination, that perfect world he longed so much for, but it was cut short when a shrill cry cut through his ears and concentration. His head snapped to the side just as quick as the noise broke out, searching directly at the noise before his singular colorless eye traveled to a plump pitch-black crow. He grumbled irritably at the racket as it cawed out once again. His attention, however, swiftly focused onto Rockwing as they spoke. Truthfully, he didn't know how to mark the borders, so he was grateful for the notice.

Huffing out a breath at the break in the atmosphere as that pestiferous thing cried again, he swished his tail irritably, before trying to divert his eye from trying to search for the bird. Trying to nod at Bravebird and Rockwing, trying his best not to look far too bothered.

The tom led the patrol along the Windclan border, there had been no scent of Windclanners crossing onto the Thunderclan side of the border which pleased him.
