There was no expression on her face now actually, it was just a frozen blank stare - her state of thinking and processing new information. After a moment, she seemed to reboot, head canting to the side slowly. "If I bit you, would you have another missing bit?" Bright blue eyes were unwavering as she stared up at the whoever-he-was, waiting expectantly for her question to be answered.
Her attention only drifted at the sound of one of her siblings calling her name, snapping to attentiveness, her spine stiffening, mismatched ears swiveling in Jaggedkit's direction with newfound alertness. A blink of those bright blues, finally, and then Strawberrykit was barely paying Crowtooth a second glance as she left, leaving parting words in her wake.
"Nevermind. You are not important enough. Goodbye, you can teach me how to bite you and make you have missing bits later. Jags is better than you." All of this was said matter-of-factly - it wasn't an insult, nor did it sound like one. She truly believed all her words and expected that her demands would be catered to.
Making her way over to Jaggedkit, Strawberrykit attempted to headbutt him in greeting, and then took a moment to sniff him over, older sister instincts kicking in. "You shouldn't have come out here alone, Jags. Looksee, you got lost." She aimed to bap his nose with a white paw, chubby kitten body wobbling precariously for a moment. A light, playful but scolding tap. "You stays with me now, I protect. Bites everyone who talkings to us."
As if his silent cry for help had been answered, strawberrykit appeared out of no where and greeted him with a headbutt. One which he didn't shy away from, atleast this one time. “I wasn't alones, I was following you!” he responded trying to sound grumpy but was too relieved too. He suddenly felt so much better having his sister here. He still didn't want to be near so many other cats but as long as he had someone as important as straw near him he could handle it. “In um not lost, jus cant see past all these strangers” he added in defence. “and I need no protecting” lies lies lies. He did! He wasn't going to admit that though, he didn't want to be seen as a scaredy kit needing to be looked after.
"whos the scary cat yous were talkings too?" he asked tilting his head to the side displaying his curiosity. “and why'd they look...” he didn't know the word to describe them, so instead he indicated to the closest resembling thing. The scary cat standing in the old tree. She had begun speaking now and everyone seemed to be paying close attention. Weird.
“I’m doing great! Though I’m very, very hot each time I get out…” he answered. In fact, right now he was sweating a bit, if it was possible for a cat.
“Almost six!” he said. “Does that mean I’m going to become an apprentice soon?” asked the kit.
{ Good thing, some people tend to not put any barriers with player and character knowledge }
Willowpaw looked at the kit with concern in her eyes. “You feel hot? Maybe you should go see Lightningstorm or Rabbitpaw.”
Willowpaw’s face lit up when Ashkit mentioned becoming an apprentice. “Yeah! Then you’ll be able to hang out with me in the apprentice’s den!”
Willowpaw had been listening extra hard to Ashkit, because she hadn’t heard him when he had said hi to her… maybe she should go see Lightningstorm…

Where was Blossomkit? She glanced around the gathered cats, picking out and naming kits as she spotted them, but found no sign of that kitten. Twilightstar wasn't waiting any longer for her and gave her full attention to Maggotkit instead.
So this was new. Maggotkit looked like it was coming up for its execution. She figured it might be a tad happier if it had been getting a death sentence. Twilightstar's never seen a kit look so blue to get out of the nursery and start their training. The fact that Whiterabbit had to grab the kit and bring it up to the roots of the Galewood wasn't a great sign. Twilightstar was incredibly curious why this kit didn't want to get its ceremony.
She was tempted to halt the ceremony to get to the bottom of Maggotkit's misery, but it's not like it could stay a kit forever. Regardless of the reason, Maggotkit still needs its ceremony done.
"From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Maggotpaw. Your mentor will be Whisperinghive." She announced without losing that curious twinkle in her gaze. She had been thinking about giving the cat to Batglare but then settled on the tom's former apprentice. She'd have to keep an eye on the pair. Maggotpaw's misery had grabbed her attention.
"Reassignments. Snowpaw and Hawkfur. Willowpaw and Hummingbirdsong." Far less than usual which was great.
"Crowbreeze. You said you had a question." Yes, she had heard the tom's call. She hadn't been ignoring him just wanted to get the more important stuff out of the way before answering him. #wcmeeting
So, a new apprentice, two reassignments, and....a question? Fadingdawn´s ear twitched with anticipation as she called her apprentices over to her side in a hushed voice. ´´Cardinalpaw, Fleetpaw!´´
Lightningpaw would want to go and congratulate Maggotpaw but he waited as the Meeting wasn't done. Lightningpaw didn't want Maggotpaw to feel like they were alone given the way the cat was acting. Still he waited for the Meeting to complete first. @nyme
“Why did you get reassigned?” Ashkit asked Willowpaw. “In fact, why are apprentices getting reassigned every now and then?” He added. Then a thought struck his mind. “It’s not... because your former mentor is… dead, right?” The kit whispered the word. Twilightstar had announced a few deaths before, so it could be a possibility. Even though Ashkit wished it wasn’t the reason.
Whisperinghive
A 12-16 moon old tom with marigold-orange fur, dull green eyes, and a thin scar running from below his left eye down his muzzle to his nose. Purrks: Killer Aptitude T1 [ACTIVE] Survival Instincts[ACTIVE] Just a Scratch [ACTIVE]
Whisperinghive was about to answer the kit when his name was called after a kit. An...an apprentice..? He was given an apprentice? He was given an apprentice!! "One moment, Maplekit." Whisperinghive said to the she-kit, walking over to his new apprentice.
So, a new apprentice, two reassignments, and....a question? Fadingdawn´s ear twitched with anticipation as she called her apprentices over to her side in a hushed voice. ´´Cardinalpaw, Fleetpaw!´´
Fleetpaw flinched when he heard his name, his head whipping around. Whiskers twitching. Then he spotted Fadingdawn, and breathed a sight of relief. He wasn't in trouble. Fleetpaw slinked over to his mentor, keeping his body crouched low with his belly fur barely scraping the ground beneath him. Trying desperately not to disturb the other cats. He sat down in front of Fadingdawn when he reached her, dipping his head respectfully in greeting. "Yes, Fadingdawn?" He asked politely.
Heathernose heaved a sigh when Snowpaw was reassigned. She had really hoped to stay as active and helpful as possible for as long as possible, and she just couldn't shake the feeling that she had let her leader and her apprentice down. Ears and tail dropping, she tried to put on a brave face to cheer for Maggotpaw.
"Maggotpaw! Maggotpaw! Maggotpaw!" Daffodilpaw cheered, oblivious to the new -paw's visible anguish at it's ceremony. She bounced as she cheered her new denmate's name, excited for it to be taking this step in it's life.
