February Gathering

Magpiecove and Mudslide arrived

Quietmouth didn't usually go to meetings due to the awkwardness of trying to communicate with a mute and essentially deaf cat, but every once in a while, he would go to one to get out and see the clans at peace with one another. He knew they didn't know him as a fighter, if any of the other clans knew of him at all, but still, he hoped to make some friends, even if they were from his own clan.

Starrypaw followed behind their clan, long tail flicking behind them. It was cold. Warmer than it had been, but still cold. The chimera apprentice sat, further away from most of the clan but close enough to steal their warmth from them, right under their nose. He was a genius, truly. Thank you, thank you, applause applause. Foolproof plan. The large apprentice glanced around the clearing. Only Shadowclan. For now, at least.

Aldersnarl padded into the clearing, his thick, ginger fur gleaming in the moon as he shook his pelt. He looked behind him making sure both of his apprentices, Mothpaw and Cowpaw, were close.

"Here we are. " He said softly to the two.

covepaw slunk into the gathering, his fluffy grey pelt soft, he stayed near Mothpaw, a silent sentinel.

Shrewstep meandered into the gathering, the small tom shuddering his fur quickly in a bid to stay.....not freezing. Warm wasn't really something a small, short-furred cat could feel in leafbare, but he could at least hope for something vaguely approximating a tolerable temperature. He wished he had a thicker coat now, but he supposed his fluffy clanmates suffered in the heat of greenleaf. Right now though......he could go for some more poof. (OPEN!)

Doeflame

As always, it was freezing. Doeflame's fur was fluffed up, but it did little to keep out the cold, easily penetrating her thin fur. She supposed it was warmer than it was some days, but that didn't mean it wasn't bloody cold. She was looking forward to reaching the gathering, where the crowd of bodies would warm the air. Maybe she would find a cat with long fur and share warmth with them. Although it would be a bit weird if that cat wasn't a clanmate. Anyway.

Finally, they reached the gathering, and Doeflame's face fell slightly at the sight of the empty beach. Seriously? They were the first to arrive? Why? She didn't want to sit in the cold while waiting for the other clans to come. They would probably be late, too, just to prolong her suffering.

She had wanted to talk to a cat from another clan, but she certainly wasn't going to sit silently until one of them arrived, so she picked a random cat to be her target. Shrewstep didn't have long fur, but eh, it was fine. His body heat would be enough.

"Hi," Doeflame said, sitting next to him. "Can we share warmth?" Without waiting for his answer (surely he was going to say yes; his fur was short too so he would be feeling it as much as her), she pressed herself against him, feeling his body warmth seep into her. Yes, this was better.

The black and white young apprentice stuck close to his new mentor but not that close. He was still wairy of the large tom, and the apprentice beside him doesn't help him get comfortable. "Ar-are we always the first o..ones..?" He was internally relieved that they were the only clan here. Cowpaw does not want to meet the other clans just yet.

The dark tabby she-cat was near the front of the group of Shadowclan warriors but she slowed down to look for someone. Her blue eyes quickly spotted Covepaw among a group made of Mothpaw and Aldersnarl. They also had a small apprentice with them, must be from the new meeting. Tinywolf bounced over to her nephew and leaned in to give him a few licks on the forhead. "Look at you! Your fur's a hot mess. You don't want the other clans to think that we don't take care of our apprentices." His mother would have a fit if she saw him looking like this.

── .✦ ➜ EEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! HOUNDPAW WAS FREED. AT LAST! The apprentice came sprinting into the clearing, sending snow flying as he skidded to a halt. At least this time he didn't fall over for once! A shiver rolled down his spine before Houndpaw's neck jerked to the left suddenly, right eye twitching. The itch disappeared, simmering back underneath his pelt.

.. Wah. They were the first to arrive, too! Oh thank stars, he did NOT want to talk to any of the stranger-cats. Watch, sure, but talk? No way! Instead, he started to take the time to explore around the Seastones. Everything was new and shiny.
