Hm. Not quite, again. Did he need to approach it differently? "Alright, imagine there's a cat right infront of you - focus on a certain point on the cat, and swipe at that." He gave another demonstration, "If you're able to focus on that point, itshould be easier to keep your balance." He explained.

It seemed the explanation worked - "nice one." He praised him, pausing to think of what to do next. "I'm going to run at you again now - I want you to use the forepaw blow to stun me, then the front paw slash to attack. Got it?" He readied up, checking to see if Newtpaw was also ready.

The paw hit Newtbelly pretty well - if it had been an actual fight, it would've done a decent amount of damage (assuming Newtbelly didn't dodge). "Nice job - see how you can combine the two?" What now... He should probably keep going over self-defence points. "When a cat attacks you, you want to make sure they can't get to your neck or stomach. Try to ensure your belly's never exposed, and if you notice a cat going for your neck, counter as soon as possible." He paused for a moment, trying to think of a good example. "For instance, if someone's trying to bite your neck, force their head down with a front paw blow."
