Scorpionsight was quiet for a moment, thinking of how to respond.
“I think… maybe they wanted more cats, I’ve heard we’re one of the smallest clans.” She said “Maybe Twilightstar wanted more cats, especially because of how large I’ve heard RiverClan is.”
A simple answer, it didn’t give away too much, but she still felt she could trust this cat.
“How many cats does ThunderClan take in?” She stopped for a moment “If that isn’t too much information.”
She didn’t want Raggedear to think that she was trying to pry information out of him.

The warrior once again gave Scorpionsight a confused look. "ThunderClan isn't accepting any outsiders right now under Bumblestar. We don't need more warriors." He said, a bit smugly. "There's no need to worry about RiverClan. ThunderClan can handle those fish-brains, but the backup is always appreciated." He said proudly, glancing down at the she-cat. "Don't worry, I know it must be tough for a kittypet. You might have never fought a real battle before. If you see me, you can stay behind me." He mewed with a flick of his plumy tail, confidence in his gaze, and insensitivity not even noticed.

Scorpionsight started to lighten up at Raggedear’s strange, confident talk.
It was nice to be around a cat with a more positive way of looking at it, even if said positivity mostly came from confidence.
“I’ll keep that in mind.” She said with a slight purr in her voice.
When it came to battle, at least training, her place had relied more on speed and such. But that seemed to be what WindClan was mostly about.
It was nice to know someone would assist if needed, though.
Oddly enough, Scorpionsight hoped she would be able to talk to him more often, despite the whole ‘different clan’ thing.

Raggedear lifted an eyebrow at Scorpionsight's purr. "You know, after the battle, we'll be be enemies again. That's how Clans work." The warrior had to admit, the thought had him feeling an odd way, but he dismissed the feeling with a flick of his ear. He barely knew this she-cat- he was thinking of something that would never happen.

Scorpionsight felt a little sad at that, for some reason.
“Well, I hope we don’t have to be on opposite sides of a battle anytime soon.” She said after another moment, still sounding friendly.
Hopefully, Bumblestar and Twilightstar wouldn’t become angry at one another for a while.

"You're an odd cat, you know that?" He said, a flicker of amusement his eyes. "You should be clawing my ears off instead of talking to me like a Clanmate right now." Raggedear leaned closer to Scorpionsight, nearly in her face, almost over the border. "Better not let your Clanmates find out you're being friendly with a ThunderClan cat." His eyes gleamed with teasing. He had felt himself relaxing around her. She was clearly naïve enough still about the ways of the Clans that she wasn't a threat. Maybe they could be friends...kind of.

Scorpionsight's own head went back a bit in surprise.
Okay, that was a bit flustering.
Wait, no, different clans.
"Hopefully they won't." She said in response, brushing off whatever that was.
She wasn't sure she would even be able to tell her brother about this new friendship.
This was a friendship right?
She hoped so, even if they were from different clans.

Thoroughly amused, Raggedear leaned back over to a normal position, ears twitching. "Careful, Scorp. I know that look." He teased. Then he paused. Had he just called her a nickname? His fur ruffled uncomfortably, but he pressed on. "I know, I know, I'm a handsome cat. But surely there's someone you fancy in your own Clan," He joked. "And you should." He added quickly.

That was odd, but she wasn't opposed to it.
She was then surprised as he continued what he was saying.
"I- what-no- that wasn't that." Scorpionsight miserably lied through her teeth.
She was well aware she wasn't meant to like a cat from another clan, but feelings can't be controlled, they would just have to be pushed down.

Raggedear crept along the undergrowth at the edge of the border, yellow eyes wide and ears perked with alertness as he stalked along. What was he doing here? One might wonder. "I'm just checking on a friend." He mumbled quietly, tail twitching. He froze as he realized what a ruckus he was making. Besides, how could he even guarantee Scorpionsight was here?

His heart sunk. What if she had been gravely injured during the battle? They didn't know each other too well, but she seemed a friendly enough cat. Could a former kittypet really survive in a world like his own? The tom shook his head, trying to shake away the negative thoughts. He would just wait- maybe a border patrol could tell him if she was okay. That's not weird, right? After all, they did fight on the same sides. They were comrades, if not temporarily. It's okay to be friendly for a moon or two after the battle, just not too friendly.
