“I don't really have a choice not to stay.” Soybean joked. My leg won't support my weight. He sighed, scraping some leaves around him to form a makeshift nest. “Guess I’m sleeping in the rain again.”

Lion grinned. "Sure. Lucky for you, I don't think it's gonna rain today." The golden tom looked around as Soybean settled down, wondering what to do next. He remembered the shrew he'd caught earlier and went over to it. The loner sat down and tore off a piece of the prey-thing as he prepared to eat. @FireSandwich

Soybean closed his eyes, drifting off into sleep. ‘Rain pounded down upon the ground. Soybean and Tulip ran across the wet path, laughing. Suddenly, Soybean tripped, and his back leg sank into a crack in the ground. He tried to pull his leg out, to no avail. “Uh...Tulip? Can you go get Mom and Dad?” Tulip walked over to him slowly. “Oh, Soybean....You don't honestly think Mom and Dad would help you?” Soybean looked up, surprised. “I'm not joking, Tulip, I need help.” He scrabbles at the ground, frantically trying to escape from the hole. His leg was in a lot of pain, and he could smell blood. “We've been waiting for a chance like this for a long time, brother.” Tulip unsheathed her claws. “I think I'll leave you here.” She smirked. “But not before making sure you never forget us.” Tulip brought her claws down along his right eye. Soybean woke with a gasp. It was close to moon-down. He glanced around, then put his head on his paws, knowing sleep would be a long time coming.

Lion had finished his shrew a while ago. With nothing else to do, the golden tom had taken a quick trip to the river and returned. He watched Soybean sleep before choosing a nice patch of grass and settling down himself. He wasn't sure how he felt about sleeping near a stranger, but a certain frostycat had taught him to always sleep with one eye open. Lion woke up in the dead of night. The moon was on it's way back down, but the sun had yet to rise. Quietly, the tom repositioned himself and thought about his family. Not his biological one, but the silly trio he considered himself part of. He dozed off again, then reawoke later. The moon had shifted significantly, so Lion got up and stretched. He'd always been an early riser. A gasp caught his attention and Lion whirled around to see Soybean. "You okay?" the golden tom asked. He paused for a second, then added, even though it was still dark, "Good very early morning."

Soybean chuckled at Lion's words. “Good morning to you, too.” He was surprised that Lion was still here. ‘I honestly thought he would have left by now.’ His eyes narrowed thoughtfully. ‘Just what exactly does he want from me?’ “I'm ok,” He said. “Just...had a dream.” he was reluctant to go into further detail. Lion probably didn't want to hear more about his family. “How are you?” He asked, trying to be friendly. ...Should we go hunt soon?”

"I'm fine," the golden tom responded nonchalantly. He hadn't thought about whether or not he should stay. Before, he used to be part of a trio. He still was, in a way, but one died and one left... he could've chased down the remaining member, but Lion needed a break. Life was cruel like that. He was only nine moons... "Yeah, we can go now," the tom continued. "I wonder when mice wake up. Are there different prey-animals when it's dark?" Lion rambled, mostly to himself. @FireSandwich

“Maybe.” Soybean shrugged. ”I know there are owls, but that's not really prey.” He stood up. “Shall we head over to Sedgewater Valley? The river's overflowing, but the moor is a good place to hunt...” He paused before adding, “The heather smells nice too.” He padded over in the direction of Sedgewater Valley. ‘We're close to there, after all...’ He thought it was kind of weird that he looked so battle-scarred and tough. He was actually barely full-grown. ‘Lion looks even younger than me.’ He noted. ‘Kinda weird that he isn't still with his parents.’ He quickly shut down that train of thought. ‘It's not my place to ask.’

"Isn't Sedgewater Valley on clan territory?" Lion asked hesitantly. He vaguely remembered Frost's lecture on where to and not to hunt if he didn't want to get in any trouble with the clan cats. Apparently, they were really strict and not very keen on sharing with strangers. The golden tom paused his stride to watch Soybean's response, then took a second to wonder about the other cat's age. He learned early on that most loners weren't as young as him. Most were experienced enough to survive. He supposed that meeting Frost might as well saved his life. He would've been hopeless if not for the clan cat.

(Also, the Outskirts and Sedgewater Valley are on opposite sides of the map. They'd have to go through either ThunderClan or ShadowClan territory to reach it, I think.)
