Whistlekit was always up for lessons. Why not? It sounds fun. She scurries over and sits down, dragging her brother behind her. Sedgekit is more reserved, and quietly sits next to his sister, observing the deputy responsible for the lesson curiously.

"Hi, Skykit!" Whistlekit meows, noticing a familiar face. "You're here to learn from Crowtooth too? Are you any good at...tunneling?"

"Hi Whistlekit! I'm never tunneling before, but I want to learn and get good at it." Skykit really wanted to learn so she could practice and be the best at it.

"Me too!" Whistlekit meows, "I wonder if we can team up for the special game Crowtooth just mentioned."

Whistlekit looks around the clearing, eyes gauging the competition. The snowykits weren't here, neither were other familiar kits. The new kits here, in fact, seemed to all be quite young. Except for Leopardkit. But Whistlekit remembered said kit was more quiet, and liked to be by herself in the nursery. She wasn't sure if she was good at digging.

In a lower voice, Whistlekit purrs, "You know if any of the other kits here are good at digging? Sedgekit told me Drifitingkit is pretty good, but I'm not sure about the others. Personally I don't think we've got much competition, but..."

"I'm just curious, just asking." Whistlekit pauses, sensing Skykit was actually the straight-laced, righteous type who disliked gossip. Which was a shame, since gossip was so fun, but it couldn't be helped.

"Sure, sure, you're right." Whistlekit meows dismissively, "Let's work hard together, then."

She's starting to lose interest in Skykit after listening to their reply now. How boring. Whistlekit glances over at Leopardkit, her eyes sparkling thoughtfully.

Whistlekit sighs sympathetically, or at least, she tries to sound that way. She's actually more excited and curious than anything. "Mosspaw found the body of his dead mother while out on patrol. I heard the apprentices talking about it. Isn't it just sad?"

"There's so many dead cats. Bravebird, Featherblossom, and now Silverfur and Dreamsky are exiled. Which reminds me, why do so many Windclan warriors try to feed outsiders? It's like they're asking for it. Exile, I mean." Whistlekit was truly annoyed over this matter. The rules were simple, why couldn't cats follow them? Humph. They must be idiots, unlike her and her brother, who were beautiful and smart. Of course.

Who's calling? And why are they so eager...tsk. Her mismatched colour eyes glanced around towards the source of that sound. Who might this be? The deputy? Huh...does he have nothing better to do? Playing around with kits with all the time on his hands, and this cat was to be doing whatever her mother was doing. Rookkit swiftly made her way over, half curious to who this guy was and half clued into liking the idea of learning some skills.

This...deputy... had her intrique. If he was good enough to help mother out around camp, that means he's valuable to learn from. Valuable asset, indeed.
