The Testing of The Elites

Frostflame made his way over to wormbite. He really wanted to prove himself to lionstar after the embarrassment of forgetting his apprentice. “Wormbite? I wanted to join in, it sounds awesome. But, would it take away from my duties as a mentor?” It DID sound awesome, who wouldn’t like this? But he couldn’t make lionstar more mad.

Quailsnap lifted his head upon hearing Wormbite's proclamation, the red-brown tom tilting his head in interest. He was intrigued, the only problem was, he was still getting used to being blind. But, it was getting better, gradually. His headaches had become less intense, and his other senses, like hearing and smelling and touch, had all seemed to heighten to make up for his lack of sight. Probably because he was using them more and more to make his way around. Even if he didn't do so well in this tournament, at least he would have some practice fighting while being blind before being thrown into a battle with no practice at all. "I'd like to join." He meowed to Wormbite as he padded over.
It was just basic fighting right? If he remembered his many moons of training and fighting while being able to see, he should be able to adjust it for his blindness. Right?

Wormbite was pleased to see cats were gathering -- even if it made him feel a bit awkward. A strange scent filled his nose and-- Wormbite looked at Wolftail, narrowing his eyes. Nope. He leaned down to pick up a rather dangerous lookin twigstick and took a step closer towards the intruder.

"Out, " Wormbite hissed, his shoulder hurt so he would prefer to not worsen his wounds. A good whacking was always easier. "I won't ask why or how, just get out. I'm doing something,"

Wolftail came to his senses with a jolt.

He didn't ask any questions. "Uh... Yeah. Got it. My bad. I-I'll leave." he turned tail and fled, trying to remember how in StarClan's name he got there, and how to get back.

(Hmm... I feel a plot coming on... Sorry bout the mix up.)

His bestie, in charge of this?! Heck yeah! He will join. Hed join anyways but if it meant he got to see wormbite too....Then YES! Tail swishing ,Sootclaw bounded up with excitement "bring it on! A Lionheart in waiting is present!" He meowed with a lift of his chin. He'd have to congratulate Wormy later. Eyeing his competition he snorted, aside from swimming which he will refuse...maybe.. He'll beat em into dust.

Eveninglight wasn’t sure if she’d be good enough to make it very far, but it wouldn’t be missing out over this. She’d be able to improve more at her skill this way.

Aspensky padded over to join the growing crowd of felines that had heeded Wormbites call, the senior warrior unsure if he would be able to keep up with the younger bodies that surrounded him but willing to try nonetheless. It had been a while since he felt he had felt productive - patrols and chores, patrols and chores. No apprentice to keep him busy. It was time he started getting out and about again.

"I would like to participate, Wormbite." he meowed, bowing his head gently to the younger warrior.
