As much as he'd initially been hesitant to bring Eaglepaw out here in the first place, he was certainly glad he did. This felt like their first proper bonding moment, aside from training. He smiled gently down at her as she promised to hold him to his statement. "I wouldn't expect anything else."
The leader was silent for a while after that, just looking up at the stars. The anxiety he normally felt thinking of Eaglepaw as a younger sibling-type was gone, replaced by a sense of calm. That anxiety would certainly return, but for now it was nice to just enjoy the moment.
