Sneezepaw nodded, though unsure if the problem was with her execution. Her legs were stubbier than most, causing her jumps to be a lot less powerful. She was obliged about Lilyglide comforting her. Nonetheless, she wanted to do her best! She thought her mentor would enjoy seeing her succeed. So she tried again, gripping tighter onto the smooth gray surface beneath her paws. Instead of trying to position her legs more in the middle of the stone, she pushed off at the edge. This time, she landed onto Lilyglide, both of them tumbling to the ground. She laughed wholeheartedly, laying on her back for a moment. Maybe battle training wasn't so awful? With Lilyglide it wasn't, at least.

"I got it!"

Sneezepaw's words were part of an inhale exhale pattern as she was quite out of breath. Who knew jumping onto a cat would take so much out of you? She had to admit her execution was indeed sloppy. She could see the problems now, but, despite her standards for herself, felt this was alright. She was getting there at least. If she'd made no progress she'd have been a bit angry. Bitter towards herself for not picking things up quicker.

"What's next?"

She mewed eagerly, teetering on her paws as she faced Lilyglide, grinning widely.

She chuckled, this apprentice reminded her so much of herself. she smiles softly, Whether it be this app's enthusiasm rubbing off on her, or she was actually having fun for once, suddenly training was much easier than she expected. This app was so clumsy but in her eyes so were most of her fellow warriors at this age. She stood up from the ground shaking her white fur off."No need to rush, My child." She spoke gently "With your natural skill you might finish your training earlier than you think." She mews.

"Let see." she mews gazing around, her yellow eyes gazing almost thoughtfully as she examined the terrain"Why don't we practice close-up combat. I already showed you one trick why not another." she mews with a smile." let's say dodging. I want you to attack me from the rock again. so I can show you how to dodge an incoming terrain attack." she spoke getting into dodge position.

Sneezepaw nodded her head once again, making her way up the rock. It felt much colder this time on her paws, the sunlight barely paying attention to the smooth surface. She thought about Lilyglide's words for a moment. She was right. Why would she rush things? There was no need. She still had 2 moons, and even within that time she'd be just fine. Getting her training done was definitely one of her highest concerns. Adderstrike, she felt as if she'd thought that named too much, impressed her heavily with being given her warrior name early. She would be okay. She was going to be okay.

She wanted her mind to be clear before she jumped off the rock. She'd hurt herself plummeting without being focused. Her mentor was below her, the rock was right under her paws, the sun was right on her pelt. Her fur was flat, there was a small breeze, nothing that would offset her leap.

She leapt off the rock as she had done before, seeing Lilyglide coming closer and closer to her view. How would she dodge?

The she watched as the apprentice prepared to jump off the rock. It was almost like awaiting. She waited silently as she stared up. the apprentice had only two moons to train, but that was enough time for Lilyglide to teach her. She was already rapidly learning no doubt this apprentice was going to be a great warrior She would be proud to call it her training that caused it. And suddenly she watched the app pounce off the rock.

quickly analyzing the situation and the distance she thought of a way to dodge that wouldn't result in the app almost getting hurt. so what she chose to do is run slightly towards the descending app before ducking on her paws so the app flew over her and collided with the ground. turning around she looked at the apprentice.

Sneezepaw thumped hard against the ground, visibly taking a moment to get herself back up. A bit of the earth got underneath her claws. Nothing she couldn't handle. Though the tiny grains annoyed her beyond compare. It's not like the heat was helping either. The sun was harsh on the little clearing, making her fur feel like a rock on a sunny day.

"What do I need to do to dodge like that?"

She panted a bit before turning around to look at Lilyglide in amazement. With her paws firmly holding her up, her eyes hung low. All of this training made her feel physically drained. She would keep pushing, wanting to complete this training session successfully. She wouldn't give up just because she was a little tired. It was nothing Sneezepaw couldn't handle.

Lilyglide chuckled seeing the app collide with the ground she gently smiled. "To dodge like that you must wait for the cat to pounce off the rock, the second they do. depending on how far up they are from you, you can move out of the way so they fly over you." she mews softly turning to look at the app and sitting down. Seeing how exhausted the app was she sighed "If you are too tired we can call this training session an end and you can go rest if you would like?" she mewed more sounding more concerned than upset, she didn't want to overwork the app, nor did she want to exhaust them, she wanted to protect them even. she gives a smile, She can't help but look at the app as a child.

Sneezepaw thought for a moment, listening to her heartbeat, feeling every muscle, every slight movement. She did ache, but couldn't she keep going? Push herself past her limit- that's what her mom used to say. It wasn't the greatest thing, she figured, but it was advice. Maybe it'd come in handy one day, but that day wasn't today. She shouldn't push her body so hard. Lilyglide made her more than aware of this, and she understood. She could collapse from exhaustion- or even worse, pass out for a few days. Just thinking about that made her skin crawl.

"Alright, thank you for this session, Lilyglide."

She smiled, running up to boop her mentor's nose with her own. She thought it was a good actions-speak-louder-than-words moment. The boop was a silly gesture, but it was mostly a thank you and a goodbye all in one. Sneezepaw was grateful for this session, and knew there would be many more thank you's in the future. To RiverClan cats, to other clan cats, to StarClan, to outsiders. All cats had the option to do something and receive a thank you. Bad or good, some cat in this forest would always be there to give a closing of thanks. She grinned lightly at this thought. The world needed a lot more thanks. Cats were so prickly nowadays, maybe she could start a chain reaction? She paused on that thought. That was big thinking, she could do that later. For now it needed to be about her training and earning her warrior name.

Lilyglide let out a chuckle gently smiling as she was booped by the apprentice, she felt Happy for the apprentice, she could see by their gaze, that this apprentice was going to be a great warrior when they came of age. "Now then, hurry off." she mews "We can always train another time. She purred, almost like a mother talking to her child.
