Shimmeringpaw nodded in acknowledgment of her brother's commands and took her place next to him. Watching Cinderpaw and Asterpaw ready up the molly took a deep breath ready to start counting.

CinderPaw nodded as she headed towards the tree, she ready herself. The shecat took a deep breath before yelling out to the group."Ready!". Once she said that she started to run, once she felt the rhythm of it she picked up pace quickly AsterPaw was becoming a bit more clear into view but she still had a while off. Huffing she gave a small grunt as she picked up the pace to go faster and finally she sure enough reached point b. She was panting but she looked up hopefully, speed wasn't entirely the shecats forté, neither was strength but she thought she did pretty well at stealth.

wormpaw started to count the moment cinderpaw took of. ''hey! pretty boy, aster, get runnin!" he bristly told the younger apprentice off, which made his counting a couple seconds behind. he quickly returned back to his main task. ears swiveling to the sounds of cinderpaw's paws. he click his tongue, knitting his eyebrows together. light-sounding. once cinderpaw finished, wormpaw turned to shimmeringpaw. "around eight seconds. what did you get?" he questioned in hopes she had a more accurate score. though, this was the first round. there would be two more rounds before they switched.

Asterpaw lolled off for a moment, eyes catching on the beauty of riverclan territory he hadn’t seen before.

Wormpaw’s voice caught him out of his lull and he immediately shot into a sprint. His long legs worked beneath him, but his soft body and short endurance worked against the young apprentice.

He skidded back towards Sootpaw, ears burning. “I’m so so sorry, I haven’t seen the territory yet, and I thought it was pretty.” He murmured to his friend.

He was angry that he had been caught off guard around so many other apprentices. He whipped around, eyes burning to anyone who dare mention his unskillful run.

She thought for a few heartbeats. "Ten seconds. But it was a g-good try Asterpaw." Ears flatten against her head as Shimmeringpaw gave a weak, small smile in the toms direction. "Y-you too C-Cinderpaw." Turning her attention upon the other apprentice before turning it to her brother.

He flattened his ears under the pretty she cats gaze. He seemed to sink into his paws, face burning red. He was supposed to be the best! He lost!

He suppressed a small whine and grumbled a small “Thanks...”

wormpaw couldn't help but let out a quiet chuckle at asterpaw's obvious embarrassment. though the comment from the apprentice about the scenery piqued his interest. wormpaw's pink-tinted eyes looked around the clearing, though to his dismay all he saw was unpleasant blurry colors. even wolfpaw's blur looked better this then. he furrow his eyebrows in annoyance, heaving a sigh. "stupid,,trees,," he murmured.
wormpaw turn his attention back to the cats. he was pretty sure asterpaw did better than cedarpaw in seconds-- well, it seemed that he had more speed. the only reason he finished after was because they didn't start at the time. wormpaw was pretty sure at least. he wasn't paying that much attention. (wormyou'reahypocrite) "sootpaw, what did asterpaw get in time?" he questioned, clicking his tongue to grab his second-in-command's interest.

"I may have counted wrong . Either ten or eleven . But I'm sticking with the Ten . But over all not bad Asterpaw! " he meowed "shimmeringpaw and I are next right ?" he asked .

wormpaw nodded in agreement towards the praise. "two more rounds for accuracy..?" he replied, though there was a questioning tone. opening room for sootpaw to suggest something else in case he wanted to.

Ears flicking as he thought it over, the tom gave a head shake "maybe again after something else...y know . Mix it up a bit " he suggested with a shoulder roll. Then his ears perked up " we can combine fighting moves! It's a partnership type thing though....one starts with one then the other comes in and uses their own !" he meowed with a tail swish . Then he looked over at the group " we can be the bad guys and they have to defend....oh.." he quickly searched for a suitable area that could be a fake camp. Bouncing over to a spot that had some tall grass, shrubs and a tree here and there " this spot "
