He remained on guard. There was no way he would let anyone hurt him or his sister. He kept the tendrils away from the girl but he did not change back. The boy narrowed his eyes at her. "A likely story. I won't be telling you anything unless you tell me who you are." He managed to keep his temper. He knew full well that he couldn't fight in front of his sister, let alone, kill someone. She already had enough trauma from the first time. Her mental scars were horrific. Yes, his were far worse, but he didn't show it. He could tell when she thought of those nights. It would be written on her horror-stricken face. He refocused on the two people in front of him. Lunar watched them closely. He felt worried. What if someone was sneaking up to take Umber right now? He unconsciously slipped a tendril towards his sleeping sister and it wrapped around her. She would be safe. He would rather die than let anything happen to her.

She moved her left hand down to her lower thigh ready to take out her daggers if needed as Kai circled around her protectively growling every once in awhile, she could tell he would pounce at any given moment if these strangers attempted anything. "Like i said im not here to hurt your, we dont even know who you are nore exactly what you both are. The names Onyx if you must know, as for what i am I'll leave that up to you to decide my friend." Her gaze left him for a second to glance over at the sleeping girl "Family right? That's why your so protective & so paranoid. I wont hurt her i promise.." she dropped her daggers trying to prove she wasn't here to harm anyone, gently nudging kai to have him shift & stand down.

Could he.. stand down? He didn't want to. They could try something. But then again. If anything happened, he could just.. run. Or take himself and Umber to Star. After all, it wasn't that hard to access that place. His eyes remained narrowed at the girl as his tendrils began to vanish. Though one remained, the one wrapped around his sister. "This doesn't mean I trust you." Which he didn't trust them. At all. Umber probably would, but he wouldn't. People scared him. Especially since the few he trusted the most hurt him. Well, all except Umber. Star hurt him. Though he didn't mean to. Star justified it as protecting them. Umber called it unnecessary attacks. He ended up killing their father, the only one who could revive Star. Too late now. He would forever wait in the Realm of Darkness. "I know my sister would probably trust you people, but I never will. I don't think I'll be telling you anything about me or her." He hid his fear. He let his guard down, a little bit, but still. It was enough. If he was down, they would take Umber. Since she was asleep, anyways.

"Then why demand information from us when you refuse to tell us anything? Doesn't exactly seem fair now does it?" She huffed, putting her daggers away as she slowly approached the man before her only to have Kai pull her back as he held her in his arms glaring at the man. "Don't Onyx, lets just leave It's obvious he doesn't trust us nor does he wish to share anything about himself"

( Loving this so far ngl, Lunar & umber both be out here being protective meanwhile one bean sleeps while the others trying to keep things peaceful n be curious)

I have a question for you. How much are you giving up for this.. girl? Maybe, it's not worth it." He laughed and then vanished with his sister. To taunt was a bad thing to do. Why did he do it? Well, it seemed he was more like Star than he thought he was. The boy reappeared in the sky with his sister, far from the other two. He began to fall and more tendrils appeared and caught him on the trees. Gosh, he hadn't done that in a while. Maybe he shouldn't do that with his sister around. Lunar set his sister in the branches of one of the trees and sat next to her. Maybe being in a tree was nice. Hm.

Kai pulled Onyx up onto his shoulders before shifting & sprinting back home, the HellHound was on edge after that encounter & all he cared about now was getting the demon home safely. once they arrived back he set her down on the couch pulling a blanket over her before locking the doors & sitting outside to keep watch. 'How much are you giving up for this.. girl? Maybe, it's not worth it' he couldn't stop focusing on the encounter & what the stranger had said.

He just sat there, looking and watching the sky. The stars were exceptionally beautiful tonight.. He wished Umber was awake to watch them with him, but she was too tired to wake up it seemed. And he didn't want to wake her up. Lunar sighed and just sat there in silence.

While kai stood watch outside Onyx stuffed pillows under the blankets on the couch before vanishing, soon enough she was sitting up in a tree somewhere in the middle of the woods humming. She normally didn't sneak out at night like this but Kai was being a bit too protective lately and after todays encouter she needed some fresh air and...answers

(so were do we want to go from here? Do we want them all to just go their own way for a bit or do we want there to be another encounter soon. Onyx has questions about what lunar is who he is since he hasnt introduced himself yet while Kai is questioning what Lunar meant back in the woods. I've got some ideas on how things could go but ultimately things are up to you
