The Commander couldn't help but overhear the commotion from the nursery and something about scary stories. Oh my. Was bite about to give some kittens some nightmares? He supposed he should approach and find out how scary these scary stories were supposed to be. He'd have to put a stop to them if they were too much -- or maybe suffer from cuddles from scared kittens. Maybe the second choice wasn't so bad, huh. His whiskers would twitch at the thought as he approached the kill pile and making note of everyone gathering.

Silently, Hawkbite would sit and watch, waiting for the apprentice to start the stories.

Embercloud l 38 moons l she/her

Embercloud heard the announcement of the stories, angling her ears towards it with interest. Part of her loved a good scary story, but she was also concerned about all of the kits and younger cats gathering. She didn't want them to be too scared and there no be enough cats to help look after them. She made her over to the gathering cats and sat down gracefully, letting her long-furred tail lay curled at her side.

Hemlockleaf was getting ready to call it a night when he heard the apprentice's call for a scary story. His whiskers twitched, would Mintpaw be attending? Concerned for his apprentice, but also greatly interested in hearing the story, the dark brown tom padded over and sat down around the edge of the group. He settled into a comfortable crouch with his paws tucked under him, curling his tail around his paws. Eyes glancing at his gathered clanmates while he waited for these "scary stories" to start.

A gentle smile graced her face as she looked down at Snarlingkit with affection, gently giving her a brief nuzzle.
“Of..course. Do you… w-want.. to sit… with me?”
She offered, letting the kitten lead the way towards the preypile, offering a spot at her side or a chance to mingle with some other kittens – Nightshiver would be delighted either way, be it spending time with her little one, or seeing Snarlingkit make some friends.

As she pondered these possibilities, she felt a soft bump against her side and turned to Palekit there, ever the eager one.
“I..am,”
Nightshiver replied, greeting the kitten with a light tap to the tip of her nose with her tail.
“Are you...now? That is.. goo..good, indeed.”
She mused, before leaning down to secretively whisper;
“Though, i-if…. you do… get spooked, that is… quite… alright.”

Rising back up she offered both kits a smile, a silent invitation to sit with her when a third, unexpected member joined them. Rookfire. Nightshiver greeted the enforcer with a polite nod, speaking softly.
“They..a-are.”

Doeflame

Doeflame was sprawled out in the clearing, eyes half-closed as she groomed her flank in long, luxurious licks. Today was a lazy day. Her plans were as follows: to lay there, relax and do nothing. And nothing was going to interrupt those plans.

But... scary stories by the fresh-kill pile did sound pretty cool. And she could lay down and relax there while Gutspaw (weird name, who would call their kit Gutskit?) told the stories. Mind made up, she laboriously dragged herself over to the gathering crowd before settling down in front of the apprentice. This was going to be good.

Palekit

Palekit laughed at the little tap on the nose. Nightshiver was gentle and warm as ever, and Palekit hopes that never changes. 'Spooked? No way! Or...hopefully not.' Palekit leans in for the whisper, "If I do, you have to keep it a secret!"

A little louder, Palekit continues his adventures, "I went to the apprentice den and visited Pigeonpaw! She's doing great now! I'm so jealous she gets to go the the gathering and...and very very very soon, I'll be able to go too!"

"Oh! Hi Snarlingkit! Excited for the stories?" Palekit hadn't seen the other kit earlier and offer them a friendly hello. Maybe they'd like to talk with Palekit too. Perfect! More friends!

And one more! There's so much cats here today, and it made Palekit more excited than ever. The little one hasn't spoken to this warrior yet, but he's heard the name go around. He was an enforcer.... '...and that's so cool!' Peeking out from Nightshiver's side, he pads up to him, "Hi Rookfire!"

Palekit suddenly had a lot of questions for the enforcer. His excitement couldn't be contained. 'First a story, then I got to catch up with Nightshiver, meet Snarlingkit and now...talk to an Enforcer? What a lucky day!' Palekit gave Rookfire a wide smile with eyes shining brightly preparing his thousands of questions. He hopes the warrior's ready because Palekit's got lots. And until the scary story starts, Palekit won't stop. "What's it like at the Seastone? Have you been to the Starcave before? What's it like being an Enforcer?"

Butterflystripe's ears perked with interest when she heard Gutspaw's announcement. "Scary stories, you say? This'll be fun!" She exclaimed with extreme enthusiam as she does with most things. Butterflystripe padded over to the fresh-kill pile, sitting down next to (but on) it. Her tail quivered with excitement.

joke was...not successful? honestly rookfire could barely read most cats expressions and nightshivers quiet spoken nature wasnt really making it easier"very well" he tipped his head at nightshiver before turning his attention to the kit by his paws. of all the things he had sometimes spent time dreaming about in the future, a kit excited to be speaking to him wasnt one of them. perhaps it was a bigger deal to the kit than him because being an enforcer just sort of happened to him without actually ever intending it. palekits questions of the sandstones brought back not so nice memories, he'd only been there once whilst still part of riverclan and barely talked to anyone, besides, it had been irrationally cold, so there wasnt really that much he could say. stars, that was even before mossfreckle was assigned medicine cat apprentice.. before they met. "its very interesting, in my opinion, a lot of cats you dont normally see that close up, and of course all the new information.." he trailed off at the end, not intending to speak more of a experience that was barely his. "i have not been to the starcave and being an enforcer..hmmm, i like it, makes me feel useful n i enjoy the challenge. but i dont think i could tell you how different it is to being a warrior since i was a warrior for a minute before being promoted."
