Needle sharp teeth that were slowly being replaced by more permanent ones gleamed in the sunlight as Fudge yawned, exiting the apprentices' den. The chocolate point had just gotten a most important order of business finished - naps were top priority, after all - and was debating on how to spend the next few hours when he saw them. The Boulder. Carrying themselves with their masterful grace and power. Or at least... he assumed that was how The Boulder carried themselves. They honestly looked like a bumbling, happy go lucky buffoon most of the time, but who was he to question genius that obviously exceeded his own? He had learned much that fateful day he'd been kitnapped by the giant, and reluctant as he was to admit it, had gained some level of respect - adoration, most would call it adoration - for the brown furred feline.
There was of course one thing he detested of his would be role model. That tendency to talk. So. Much. Seriously, would it kill The Boulder to take just a second to breathe? Well... Fudge supposed that unlike himself, they just preferred to share their knowledge and wisdom with everyone they met. Tomfoolery, really. If you teach everyone everything you know you become irrelevant. Obsolete. Useless in the eyes on Angry. And we all knew what happened to useless cats around here.
Still... maybe The Boulder was simply secure in their position. In their role in the clan. It could very well be that they were so amazing they knew nobody would be able to accomplish everything they could. Fudge had already been in that situation. Had realized he would never be as stealthy as The Boulder obviously was. But now his idol - nope, not idol, just another cat that happened to be... acceptable - was hosting battle training sessions? With some Spidercat? Forget plans. This is what he had to be doing now!
Head held high as he approached the group, knowing full well he was the best student that had ever graced The Boulder's presence, he sat amongst the others, a deadpanned look in his emerald hues as he stared straight at the loud giant. The Boulder had seen him in action. Knew of his skill. Hopefully forgotten his age. Would probably put him in basic with the less savvy apprentices not because he was basic, but because they wanted to ensure he knew everything they had to offer. And Fudge would graciously accept this. Because he was a kind, benevolent cat. Not at all because he wouldn't dare speak up a word against such a decision in front of this crowd. No siree. That would be a lie, that would be.
