Raptor Hunting

Lightningpaw was curious about how this would go however as he approached the group one would easily be able to see the clear anxiety crackling from him. Lightningpaw as a kit barely managed to keep himself from being taken by a Raptor in the camp. Had Bravebird not quickly acted Lightningpaw would have never managed to make it to being an Apprentice. Lightningpaw even had a Lightning shaped scar on his flank from the experience. And if he was honest he wasn't entirely comfortable with hunting the large birds. He wanted to hide in the Apprentices den as soon as he heard the Raptor population was out of hand. "Please let nothing bad happen to us." Lightningpaw would silently pray to Starclan for protection. His tail continued to twitch anxiously as he tried to steel his nerves. Lightningpaw was a small lithe orange tabby with yellow eyes and a Lightningbolt scar on his flank. Although he was 7 moons old he looked more like a 6 moon Apprentice. (Open if you wanna help Lightningpaw not lose it.)

Hawkfur popped into the group, more than a little excited for this. Hawkfur had always wanted to learn how to hunt raptors, but his mentor had passed before they had the chance, and he hadn't really sought out the training after he became a warrior. This was the perfect opportunity!

Vinepaw saw Lightingpaw enter and he walked over as he approached he heard the other apprentice mutter his worry and Vinepaw instantly understood what the other apprentice was feeling he felt it all the time "Hey Lightingpaw, Want me to stick with you out there?" he asked trying to keep his voice even "No old raptor would dare mess with us" he said with a hint of lightness in his voice trying to cheer the other apprentice up. To be honest, Vinepaw wasn't as afraid of raptors as he thought he would be instead he just wanted to sink his claws into the bird's backs his tail lashed from just thinking about it he was eager to go.

Lightningpaw was grateful for Vinepaw trying to comfort him but at the moment Lightningpaw couldn't bring himself to be confident unlike usual. "Umm.. yeah I'm sure they won't.." Lightningpaw mewed seeming uncertain about the fact the terrifying Birds would care about two Apprentices. Still Lightningpaw wasn't about to let his fears get the best of him. @Tallstar

Wow! Hunting raptors! That sounds so cool! Just like the cats in the story that Crowtooth told when he was a kit, or at least, he remembers hearing about something like that but maybe he was misremembering. Well, anyways, it was cool nonetheless and Rabbitpaw couldn't wait to learn the skill! Turn the raptor problem into a blessing with how much prey he'll catch of them. As he padded up with the other gathering cats he found his mentor speaking to Mister Leachscar about needing a partner or something for leaping. Oh! Rabbitpaw was very good at jumping and running and leaping, he could totally help if his mentor allowed him to. The blonde padded up and offered a happy grin at Crowtooth, "I can help with the leaping part if you want!" He tilted his head a bit before continuing as he fully processed the patrol part, "I want to go on the patrol! I've had like..." He squinted his eyes in thought, "Like 4 battle lessons and two hunting lessons so far." Surely that was enough, he had to sit out last time but he was older now, not by a lot, but he has had all sorts of training since then from living and dead cats alike.

The last time she fought vultures was moons ago, on the ShadowClan border. Swiftfire eyed Leechscar with some skepticism, but she strolled over anyway, interested in participating in this training. One could always hone their skills.

She watched the cats joining, giving Crowtooth and Leechscar each a curt nod in greeting.

Thrushfreckle padded up. Hunting raptors? Well, they weren't good at fighting, but he wanted to make sure his Clan was safe. Plus, they looked up to Leechscar. The tom was a good Fury, and Thrushfreckle wanted to be one when they were older. "I'll go to Windy Hills with you, Leechscar." he called. They wanted to make sure that if WindClan was going to war, that there were no extra injuries or threats, so that the Clan could focus on fighting. While he wasn't that good at fighting, RiverClan knew what was coming and had brought it upon themselves.
