Vinepaw’s ears perked up at the sound of excitement rippling through the camp. He glanced over, spotting Wildpaw darting towards the center of the commotion with an energy that was both wild and infectious. Vinepaw's whiskers twitched in amusement as he watched his friend’s enthusiastic approach.

Before he could react further, Wildpaw was upon him, tackling him to the ground with a surprising force. Vinepaw let out a startled yelp, rolling with the impact to avoid being knocked out entirely. He managed to catch himself and looked up to see Wildpaw grinning down at him with an almost manic glee, his face smeared with remnants of his meal.

“Wildpaw! What’s gotten into you?” Vinepaw laughed, shaking off the surprise of the sudden attack. “Looks like you’re ready to take on the whole camp!” He wriggled a bit to free himself from Wildpaw’s grip, though he could hardly suppress his own grin. “I didn’t know you were so into races either. But if you’re going to make me race you, I’m going to give it my all!”

He glanced around at the growing crowd, feeling a rush of excitement himself. The atmosphere was electric, and the thought of competing alongside Wildpaw made the event all the more thrilling. “Alright then,” Vinepaw said, his eyes sparkling with challenge. “Let’s see if you can keep up with me!”

With that, he gave a playful shove to Wildpaw and sprang to his feet, ready to join the race and see where the friendly competition would lead.

Opossumbug woke up to the sound of an apprentice calling the clan for something, everyone could get involved, so brown spotted paws stood up and a freckled maw let out an yawn and then walked out of the warrior's den. Hazel eyes looking around for the young apprentice, finally spotting them he padded over, and sat down Infront of them, listening more and hearing about an race. Of course he had to get the hell in this damn race. "Finally something I'm good at. This will be easy." he said with a grin.

Daffodilpaw looked over when she heard a voice, seeing the brown tom near her. ”Isn’t it exciting??” She meowed with a happy bounce. “I love running! This will be so much fun!” She’ll finally have the opportunity to prove herself as one of the fastest. Even though she was a young apprentice, she knew that she wanted to be known as the fastest WindClan cat. She knew her age brought some disadvantages, namely shorter legs, but that just made her want to work harder rather than deter her.

Harewhisker glanced around the camp nervously, wondering what was going on. They kept to themself, watching curiously. "How odd..!" they mewed to themself.

Harewhisker seemed suddenly regretful. I wish i was outgoing, so i could challenge cats to races she thought. She stared at her paws, no cat would want to race [I]her[I] anyway, she barely even talked to anyone!

Cloverkit meowed out the first excuse that popped into her head. That's because you cheated! She meowed angrily. Then she paused and added quietly, Probably. Cloverkit shook her head and gazed proudly into the eyes of the apprentice. Besides, you're older! She remarked.

Sneezekit's head shot up. A race? A competition? A chance to prove Sneezekit's incredible Abilities? How exciting! Plus also a chance to forget about nearly almost being eaten. They were supposed to have forgotten about that by then, but maybe they just needed some extra help.

They noticed another cat a few rabbit hops away. Score! A new cat that they hadn't talked to yet! Alright, time for Sneezekit to work their usual friend-making magic! 'Cept that when they tried to walk over, their paws wouldn't work for some reason. They frowned, looking down. Move, stupid paws! That's your job! they scolded internally. And then a past warning about talking to strangers echoed in their mind. SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP!!! Sneezekit was trying to make friends! Bad guys don't know anything! MOVE, PAWS! SNEEZEKIT COMMANDS IT!!!

Well, fine, harumph! If Sneezekit's paws wouldn't let them walk up to their new friend, they had other ways! They'd learned this little trick from Littlekit: "HELLOOOO! YOU OVER THERE! HI! I'M SNEEZEKIT! WHAT! IS! YOUR! NAME!?" they screamed, trying to reach the other cat with their voice. Hopefully, they wouldn't have any questions about why they were trying to have a conversation from halfway across camp.

Daffodilpaw purred in amusement. She really liked Cloverkit! She hoped that they would get to train together one day. “That’s true!” She meowed, flicking her tail-tip against Cloverkit’s ear playfully. “My mentor is older than me too and he can leave me in the dust!” She admitted. “But not for long!” She crouched down again, as if ready to bolt at any moment. “One day my legs will grow. Until then I’ll keep working hard so when they do, they can carry me as fast as the wind! You should do the same.” She meowed, gently booping her nose against Cloverkit’s.
