Once upon a time, long, long ago, there lived a beautiful prince. He was not handsome, he was beautiful, and he was very, very sweet. And this beautiful, sweet prince lived in a castle surrounded by shadows, by monsters, by creatures that went bump in the night! The sweet prince loved his home dearly. He belonged there, believe it or not. But the master of the shadows, the mightiest monster there was, didn't much care for the beautiful prince. And the prince, as sweet as he was, didn't care so much for her, either. He was still young and full of promise, something that this monster didn't see in him. Something no one in the castle saw in him.
The beautiful, sweet prince made more of himself when he fled the castle and ran wild on the horizon. He tumbled with the best and supped with the worst and between every moonrise, made the most of his day.
Seasons and seasons cycled by and the young, sweet, beautiful prince developed more refined tastes. He learned he could whisper sweet nothings into the ears of grown toms and let them do his bidding, for a while at least. It became a favorite pass-time of his, something that kept him entertained and fed and alive.
Ceri (something he learned to like to go by as of late, a name given to him by someone sometime) smiles to himself as he skips along a thin, wiry footpath through the forest. There wasn't a thing in the world that the tom felt bothered by. The air was nice, light, and breathable. The sky was bright. The breeze was sweet. And he was on his own again! The light-furred calico takes in the view on his way up toward the mouth of a den unguarded and unoccupied. The scent of another cat was fresh enough and the tom hadn't a doubt in his mind that soon, company would find him. He snoops around inside of the den, humming to himself as he tries to figure out who might live here.

Stone approached his den, seeing another tom poking around. This didn't bother him but made him curious. His ears twitched as he padded towards him. ' 'Hi there,' ' he meowed in a friendly tone, hoping to not startle the stranger.
The return of the den's assumed resident has Ceri wheel around on his heels. Yellow eyes round with alarm, he feigns the deepest of shocks, even going so far as to stumble back theatrically. "Oh, my!"
Curling his tail around himself, the slim thing lowers his head, making himself appear small. "Hello, sir, is this your home?"

' 'Yep,' ' Stone replies and seeing the young cat stumble back a bit, he padded closer to him. ' 'You ok?' ' He asked.
Ceri simpers as the other tom approaches, his lips pulling wide over his face. "It's a lovely den," he says. "You build it yourself?"

"Ah," the rogue acknowledges in a soft, hush tone. Yellow eyes dance around the den again with what only seemed to be mere curiosity before they land one more time on the stranger. "What's your name? I'm Ceri." Behind him, his tail furls and unfurls.

The tom nods once, looking thoughtful for all of two heartbeats before a sly smile spreads over his lips. Ducking his head, he steps closer toward Stone. "Any chance you've got some prey tucked away somewhere, Stone?" With a friendly blink and a curling tail, Ceri seemed none so imposing. "Or herbs one can use on sore paws?" His questions were furling purrs in the air between them.

Ceri lets his gaze follow the other tom's paw. Scrutinizing the stock that Stone had, the rogue wonders if it would be a little bit too ruthless to try and take off with something, if it left this guy with nothing. Glancing back up at Stone, he flicks his tail. "You're too kind," he meows smoothly before ducking nearer to the pile of prey. His mouth had begun to water.
