Whisperinghive reminded him of Mister Hawkfur when Crowtooth was teaching him and the fury their first tunneling lesson and now he was a little more emotionally aware to know that the behavior was likely fear not excitement. Most cats didn't quite like tunneling like maybe he and Crowtooth did, but it was still a good skill! Just like how Rabbitpaw hates climbing trees but still knows how to do so. "You doing okay? If you want we could do some moor hunting instead? But no worries, these tunnels are safe. They've been stable for moons."
He stopped slowly, tapping his paw against the padded down flooring to signal that he was stopping. Normally you would use your tail to brush your partner but seeing as Rabbitpaw has a noticeable lack of said appendage that wouldn't work. "I get that tunneling can be a lot, especially if you are used to moor hunting and stuff." Rabbitpaw offers, trying to make sure that there was no harm if Whisperinghive really did want to back out. After all, Rabbitpaw owes him from taking him out already, but its also just basic decency.
