Marigoldpaw scrambled to her feet fur bristling as she heard her name called, unbeknownst to her this was the second time. She raced outside expecting attackers or something but instead seeing Adderfang and some other apprentices. Huh? What was going on....Oh! This was the territory patrol thing. “I’m ere!” She mewed quickly and guiltily.

She quickly snatched up a small squirrel to devour along the way before trotting after Adderfang and heading to heron dive hollow.

The apprentices should be expecting her yelling at this point. It was a couple of days after the large warriors loud and uncaring pre dawn summoning of the first group of apprentices and now it was the others turn. Once more the sky was only just lightening and once more did Adderfang stick her head in the apprentices den and yell.

"QUAILPAW, DARKPAW, RUMBLEPAW, PUMPKINPAW, WEBPAW, FROGPAW, LARKPAW, BUZZARDPAW, STEMPAW AND SNAKEPAW! OUT OF YOUR NESTS AND GET MOVING YOUVE GOT A LONG DAY AHEAD OF YOU! I expect you to be out and ready before the sun crests the trees and if you do not show expect to be left behind! I recommend you get moving and eat something but if you wish to sleep up until we leave thats your choice. I'd advise against it though..."

And with that startling yowl she withdrew her head and sat back to mentally tally all those that actually came out to participate in the activity and listen to her instructions. (It'd also serve as a good check of their instincts and response time too the molly figured, there was no room for snails in shadowclan.)

Larkpaw was asleep. He wasn't dreaming, he knew that part. It was one of those nights without any scenes in his head. There was actually some strange feeling of awareness going on. But he didn't have to worry about that, because a voice cut into his brain and he jumped up, his claws unsheathed. Then he noticed the she-cat standing in the opening of the apprentice's den. He relaxed slightly and sheathed his claws. He stepped out of his nest and blinked the last of the sleepiness away, then walked out to find Adderfang sitting outside. @Rani

Blinking sleep from his eyes, Pumpkinpaw stretched and got out of his warm nest and into the chilly pre-Dawn air.
Picking up a day-old mouse from the fresh-kill pile, he ate it and waiting for the rest.

Stempaw gave a yawn as she scrambled to her paws and tried to hurry of the den, since it seemed their was training today. She was quite looking forward to her lesson whatever it was going to be, she knew she was suppose to be a warrior by now, but she wanted to be far more trained before she became a warrior, she needed to be the best warrior. What would be the point of being an average warrior.

....Three apprentices. Out of a group of seven called only three actually got off their lazy sides and rose to further their training when called. No wonder there were no new warriors and Dawnstar was mad that was just pathetic. Well it was no matter Adderfang could do this with three though she'd give the sleeping members one more chance to join before they'd be left behind. Nodding to the active and diligent apprentices the large molly stuck her head back in the apprentices den and growled;

"The sun has now crested the trees and we. are. leaving. now. You have until after Ive explained things to the cats that are actually awake to get up or I am leaving you behind. Warriors are only responsible for offering you opportunities, it is up to you to to take them. If you really wish to be left behind I am sure Dawnstar would be happy to display what happens to dead weight. Stars I'd be happy to demonstrate that for you. I do need more tails to line my moss nest."

With that she retracted her head and padded over to the rest of the group and sat. "Right those that havent grab some food and come over here and Ill explain how todays exercise will work."

Larkpaw padded to the prey pile, feeling grumpier than usual. His original plan was to yell a bit at Adderfang, but after hearing what she said to the lazy kits, he thought better of it and held his tongue, to keep to words for someone else. He glared at Frogpaw, who'd just came out, as he picked up a small vole. @Rani

Swallowing down the last few morsels of his mouse, Pumpkinpaw padded over to Adderfang and sat down a few paces away facing her, his tail curled over his paws as he hid his excitement,
Finally! He thought to himself, Some training!

Adderfang really did her best to avoid favourites but it was just so nice to see apprentices be excited and enthusiastic about their training. So Pumpkinpaw earned themselves a small grin for their suppressed eagerness before the warrior moved on.

"Alright today we are going to be doing a tour of all of our borders looking over them in detail and learning about the area as well as the clans across them. This information will help you in the future I am sure, as prey you might find on the border and dangers may just save your life, the last group I took encountered a fox at the riverclan border which is a good example of that. And given that conflicts with other clans happen regularly and raids (or being raided) will occur at least once in your life knowing about our neighbours is an edge.

On each border I will introduce the area and the dangers here while you explore the area and mark the borders by rubbing up against it and laying down your scent. I'll quiz you for any information you may already know before giving you a full list of our history with that clan and some of their skills. Take a careful note of anything interesting in the area as I will be choosing a 'patrol lead' for each area who will get the privilege of reporting to Finchwhisker the state of our border today. This will prepare you for a proper patrol and maybe prime you to be chosen as a real patrol lead once you hit warrior.

First border for today will be the thunderclan border. Unless anyone has any questions we'll leave immediately, while we as shadowclan may have no issues with navigating the night I'd rather this not go on into the night. On your paws everyone and let's start to head out."
