feeling her head make contact with finchpaws chin and him pulling away, buzzardpaw took this as hee chance to scramble out from underneath him - inhaling deeply. ow, ow, her bones hurt. him crushing her would definitely leave her bruised for a few days. "you're calling me the foxheart?! you crushed me with all your weight! my bones are gonna be bruised for several days!" she hissed, personally choosing to ignore rookpaws laughter, but decided to cast a glance over to her.

her ear twitched in annoyance - slightly offended that rookpaw thought she was actually fighting finchpaw for her friendship - but also annoyed that she had been watching the whole thing and didn't help.

she watched finchpaw storm over to the older apprentice, also stalking over but staying a few fox lengths away from the tom. "she does know me!" she snapped, tail lashing as she shot a glare over to the red apprentice. she lied a lot, but she was being honest now!

she turned her anger filled gaze towards rookpaw, scowling at her. "we weren't fighting over your friendship, for your information. how come you didn't help me when i was being squished?" she would've helped another apprentice if they were being squished!! ..probably..if she felt like it.

Rookpaw went over what she should say in her mind. She kind of wanted to tease Finchpaw and join Buzzardpaw's bit about being besties but it seemed like Finchpaw was upset for some reason. Sure, Buzzardpaw was annoying as heck but he usually preferred to toy with his enemies like she did.
"Yes I know her, I recently tried to teach her how to swim and she blamed me for drowning her." she said with a smirk and the leaned sideways to look at Buzzardpaw.
"Hey, tiny, I would love to help you but sadly I do t exactly like you so why would I." she said with a chuckle.

Finchpaw felt panic as Rookpaw did admit she knew the other molly. And they had gone swimming together?!

His claws dig into the dirt.

Perhaps Buzzardpaw wasn’t lying... perhaps Rookpaw did indeed want stop being friends with him.

He felt his body slowly harden and get his mind darken in a mix of anger, betrayal, and hurt.

But then Rookpaw mentioned how she didn’t like her and Finchpaw’s ears shot up again.

She didn’t like her! So the furball was lying!

Finchpaw gave a small sigh of relief before placing a cocky smile back onto his face, hiding his past panic.

Sitting down infront of Rookpaw he gave a dramatic swoon.

“Rookpaw! The frog face was trying to say that she was your best friend!” He whined sarcastically.

“She was saying how much she loved you and that she and you were destined together!” he lied.

Placing his paws over his face dramatically he gave a fake sob. “And she wanted to take you away! Quick reassure me that you and that slimy cat aren’t pals” he mocked. He hoped there wasn’t any actual whine in his voice.

Hopefully that could embarrass the calico molly, she deserved it.

He rolled back to his side and shot a cold hateful look at the short molly. Despite the mockery in his voice towards Rookpaw, Finchpaw still wanted to claw the molly for riling him up like that.

oh, of course rook had to bring up the drowning part. "because you tried to drown me!! you pushed me in, knowing i could swim - you MURDERER!" buzzardpaw huffed, stomping a paw against the ground. that probably wasn't the best choice considering she was a bit sore, but she wasn't one to really think things out. and another comment about her height - she wanted to whack rookpaw on the head for that. "evil stickbug! i would help you if YOU were being crushed." she most certainly would not, but still.

her attention shifted to finchpaw, watching him swoon and whine. ugh. talk about pathetic. "and you believed it, you ugly toad." she pointed out with a sneer. insecure ugly toad, to be exact. his next words made her mouth drop open in shock, taking a moment to fully process what he had said before her ears began to burn in embarrassment.

liar. he was such a dirty LIAR.

"you liar! you ugly, lying oaf! I did not say that!" she protested, hurrying over to raise a paw and bring it down, hoping to clobber him over the head. a good old bonking is what he deserved for saying a lie like that! she wasn't even sure how he came up with that - love was stupid and dumb and just a terrible thing - but either way, she was a bit (very) embarrassed.

she looked back to rookpaw, shaking her head. "i didn't say that. don't listen to him - he's STUPID." she said, turning her head to look at finchpaw upon saying the last part. she should bite of his nose for doing that!

Rookpaw observed the whole shade. She was about to send a retort at Finchpaw either sussing his pathetic behaviour or joining the play, but then Buzzardpaw joined in and she couldn't help but burst out laughing at the cacophony. She started laughing shrilly and buried her face in her paws.
"Wow, both of you are so obsessed with being friends with me, I don't know who to choose, what shall I do, since you both seem to love me so much, who shall I choose as best friend?!" she said through laughter, joining the mess eventually.

buzzardpaw let out a small cry when finchpaw successfully managed to smack her in the maw. she scrunched up her nose, glaring at finchpaw with a frown, which only grew bigger at rookpaws words even if they were playful. okayyyy, now she was getting a little uncomfy with the whole love thing - and that was making her more upset than angry. love stuff had always made her a bit uncomfortable and with the constant mentioning of it, she was shuffling her paws with furrowed brows.

"stop with the love stuff, it's weird." she said, voice stern and the words directed at both apprentices. those two seemed to be having fun and laughing about it, she wanted to laugh to!! but the love stuff was ruining the whole thing for her - and just as she thought she was getting-

her head snapped to the side to snarl at finchpaw, fur bristling. "you were dumb enough to believe it too, did you forget that? what, are you stupid and forgetful?" the switch was sudden, and now her claws were digging into the dirt. "don't blame or insult me just because you're stupid."

Rookpaw snorted in confusion and then felt rather awkward. They did know love was something that should allegedly be there with friends, right? Like, love didn't mean romance. Oh, stars, what were they thinking? She suddenly joined in the awkwardness and immediately got the urge to explain herself, considering she was likely the most uncomfortable of them all if actually talking about romance.
"Ok, everyone calm down. Friendly love is some alleged part of friendship but it seems you all freaked out and thought i meant it romantically or something. Anyway, I don't see where I fit in here. Buzzardpaw decided to annoy Finchpaw and lie to him, Finchpaw fell for it and attacked her, how is any of this my fault? I'm just an innocent bystander." she said. Well, not that innocent, she was kind of stroking the flames. Most things were not Rookpaw's fault since she didn't talk to anyone or do anything significant but some would argue bystander apathy was a misdeed, and she was the living embodiment of bystander apathy.

Finchpaw let a smirk settle on his mug as his paw made contact with Buzzardpaws head. It actually seemed to shut the molly up. For a few seconds that it.

As the calico molly snapped at him again, the tom raised a brow.

Wow and he thought he had a short temper; a bit of growl bumbled up his throat in response to Buzzard’s comments about him believing her. Did she want another smack?

A silence arose between the trio after Rookpaw’s comment.

Finchpaw had answered all in teasing mockery so he hadn’t taken any of the comments to heart, but it seemed that Buzzardpaw was uncomfortable. The small apprentice was distressed with the the idea of love? He was going to remember and use that to his advantage later.

Good, maybe she’d go away he thought.

The silence lingered and Finchpaw’s mind thought back to the interaction between all of them and then hooked on the moment Buzzardpaw called Rookpaw a “evil stick bug”

He gave a dark snort and started chuckling. Rookpaw did look like a stick bug with those legs.

“Listen you evil stick bug,” he snickered, “I would say it is your fault since because of you I had the pleasure of interacting with this delightful hairball.”

with finchpaw silent, she let her attention fall on rookpaw. love being a part of friendship? hah! she rolled her eyes at the thought. clearly that didn't exist because she'd never heard of it. wait a moment. that would require them to be friends, and they weren't friends - not that buzzard was aware of, anyways. they were all more like enemies who had somehow not killed eachother yet, but so far she seemed to be the victim of almost dying twice.

"you're not an innocent bystander! you watched me get crushed by this boulder," she pointed a paw in finchpaws direction, "and LAUGHED! laughed! you're anything but innocent." she accused, mouth dropping open in pure disbelief when she heard finchpaws words. oh, so not only was he a liar, he was a nickname thief!

she blinked before staring at finchpaw with an expression that was filled with disbelief, disappointment, and disgust. "you're terrible. seriously! I came up with that nickname, make up your own." he was lucky that he was big enough to withstand her shoves and dodge her smacks. "you can even use pine tree or overgrown stick - but evil stickbug is mine to use, thank you very much."

Rookpaw made a bizzare expression, a mixture of a frown and suppressed laughter, as both cats called her out, Finchpaw quickly adopting the nuckname Buzzardpaw had used. She watched them bicker with amusement.
"Oh wow you guys are fickle, a second ago you were fighting over my friendship and now your fighting over which one of you us more mad at me. Anyway, I should be pretty upset, cats don't like being called evil. Thankfully I know im evil so I'm fine with that. Since you seem to have some tension going on I could leave you guys to sort it out if you want, I wanted to go out on the border, there were some twolegs doing something weird with a bunch of wood and I wanted to check it out. I don't wanna be the rivalry equivalent of a third wheel." she said calmly and looked to the camp exit.
