Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
Mudhound
Thunderclan Hornet | They/them | 40 Moons
Bilingual T3 | Flock Together T3 | Rapid Recovery | Killer Aptitude T3
Aaaaaaand here they went! Honestly the group was lucky that two got caught at all, the canines now fixed to the ground by a snap trap around their paws and that the pups had stuck back in the den. It meant that the loose foxes could be focused on and the rest was just clean up.
Except.... Well nothing was ever that simple was it. One fox, a large scarred adult male seemed to almost jolt when Mudhound darted out into the open, fangs out. The tripod didnt know a lot of fox facial expression, they'd only really picked up basic understanding of their language because it was similar to dog.... But this one looked personally vengeful and furious.
'MURDERER CAT! REVENGE FOR SIRE AND DAM!'
And suddenly, as Wolfhives warning came too late and the fox slammed into Mudhound in a grapple and the tripod could feel the shape of the scars they recognized this fox. After all, they'd been the cat to leave these scars on a fox pup that'd attacked the ill fated patrol lead by Alderstep so long ago, the only foe that'd survived that massacre.
Crud.
The two creatures were a sudden violent ball of claws and fangs and fury, Mudhound forced to use all strength to keep the vengeful animal off of their throat as it turned into more of a grapple then a fight. There were no room for stances or moves even, just brute strength and a desperation to kill the other before they could kill you. If Mudhound could get a bit of space the tides could maybe change, and they could get at the throat of the creature savaging them but for now they were both just collecting wounds between furious snarls and shrieks.

Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
Brackenclaw-24 moons old, He/Him, Thunderclan Warrior, No Purrks.
Brackenclaw saw the predicament Mudhound was currently in and knew that the Hornet could use his help. Brackenclaw was a well built large Maine Coon after all with plenty of muscle backing him up. Brackenclaw would charge forward leaping at the Fox claws unsheathed as he barreled into it knocking it of course and raking his claws down it's shoulder it would seem. Brackenclaw would remain ready to pounce though if he had to. Brackenclaw wouldn't let this mangey furball hurt his Clanmates anymore than it already had. Brackenclaw would ask Mudhound. "You good?" Brackenclaw asked the Hornet his deep dark voice rumbling out despite the worry he was trying to portray. @ BEAR. @ TanghuluCat @ Morrigan @ Blaaze @ Spider

Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
Mudhound
Thunderclan Hornet | They/them | 40 Moons
Bilingual T3 | Flock Together T3 | Rapid Recovery | Killer Aptitude T3
Jaws snapped near Mudhounds face, so familiar from the not so distant past. Did this fox remember all that occurred? Did the fox remember tearing into Mudhound side, spilling blood with glee until the tables turned? The foxes had been so keen and eager to kill the tripods apprentices when they thought they had the upper hand, where had that bloodthirsty joy gone when the tables had turned. Fighting off the vengeful fox right now Mudhound saw themself in that fury, the anger they'd felt about what'd been done to their loved ones that'd driven them to kill the foxes.
Wasnt that funny how that cycle of vengeance brought them here once more. Old friend fox, one of them was going to die today, beast or beast.
Not the hound, as it seemed however.
Gasping as the fox was torn off of them by Brackenclaw Mudhound rolled to their paws, finally heaving in air untainted by the rotting stench of death from the foxes maw. He'd torn the fox away, thankfully, giving the hornet much needed space to breathe and now the beast was recovering trying to figure out how best to attack two massive cats.
Was Mudhound good? That was a stupid question, they were facing their horrible past with this fox and covering in scratches, slowly dripping blood. It was nothing critical but best to finish the fight sooner rather then later, then tackle the wounds before they could turn infected. Still, breathless and tired already the tripod could only pant, vision split between the fox and warrior.
There was no time to respond, only to finish it and do so fast, especially as the fox turned to Brackenclaw. Deeming the tom distracted and wanting its pound of flesh for the injury dealt the fox lunged, attacking with brutality and aiming for the kill. No doubt Brackenclaw could fight it off given time, but Mudhound had jolted into action the moment they saw the fox move and so gave no time for the tides to turn either way.
Then ran, racing against time, against the fox, against this ever happening again and leapt.
Fangs in its neck, a brutal thrashing of their head, a loud 'SNAP'. And it was over, the fox went limp falling to the ground unable to lift its head with a broken spine and feline teeth shearing through its spinal cord. It couldnt gasp, let out some pitiful whines and wheezes as its life fled it, and go limp.
Goodbye fox kin, you shouldve run faster. Now who next?
One fox left in the traps as Risingstorm killed the other, one fox outside facing Wolfhive who could handle it. ....Mudhound went over to play loud painful distraction regardless.

Although Raggedear was quite sure Wolfhive was more than capable of handling the one fox on their own, he still sprung into action to help. Foxes aren't as predictable as other cats.
The large tom snarled menacingly at the fox, puffing out his fur in an attempt to make himself appear even larger, and spit flew from his mouth. "You'll regret invading ThunderClan land!" He spat, lashing out a paw with claws extended to take a swipe at the intruder's nose. With a satisfying screech from the fox, his claws collided and blood spattered from it's snout, causing it to reel backwards momentarily. In it's moment of bewilderment, Raggedear took the opportunity to leap onto the creature's back, sinking his claws in and biting down hard near it's neck to hang on. However, he knew he wasn't biting the right spot to kill it. Releasing his bite briefly, he called out. "Wolfhive! Help me wrestle it to the ground so we can finish it off!"

Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
Nightgaze
Thunderclan Hornet
Oh, oh! Here the foxes come! Nightgaze bared her fangs eagerly as she layed in wait for a few moments, witnessing two foxes fall prey to the traps set. Preparing to launch herself at one of the canines, she was suddenly halted by a branch catching her hind leg. Yowch! A hiss of pain escaped her as she stumbled from the blow.
Shaking of her foot that had been caught in an attempt to somehow relieved the pain of it, Nightgaze only realised how much time she'd wasted on the mild injury. Dang, how useless! Determined to make up for it, she made a leap for one of the struggling foxes, latching onto it's side as it thrashed about in an effort to remove her form it's pelt. Claws and teeth dug into the creatur ein an attempt to hold on. She couldn't take it down on her own, she knew that, but she'd try because she was stubborn and that was it.
(Sorry for the lateness and terribleness of this everyone! Open for anyone who'll help Night ^^')

▪︎Sproutfleck▪︎
▪︎The Bronze Knight▪︎
Purrks: Killer Aptitude T1| The Collector
____________________ TW: Blood, death, and gore
The wild plethora of claws and fangs had begun, a primitively natural method of bloodshed and killing. As the Tom recovered from his leap, Freshmeat’s jade green hues narrowed a snarl rose in his throat, the pumped adrenaline threatening to send him spiraling into a manic wave of murderous desires. The fox of which he had caught within the trap was now being attacked by Nightgaze, a renewed hornet who The Bronze Knight hadn’t laid sights on since the adventure of arriving here
. She was tussling with the restrained russet predator now, and the wave of Killer Aptitude Rose up in his chest as the bobtail let out a wild snarl, lunging into the fray. The vixen seemed faintly surprised by his sudden interference, and without a second thought Freshmeat slammed his jaws down upon its throat, eyes gleaming with malice and pure hatred.
In an instant blood seeped into his jaws and around his eyes as the dappled brown-ginger feline tore himself backwards and away, a chunk of the vile animals neck in his jaws. Making quick work of rolling to his paws and dropping the meat of the fallen vixen, it came as an unexpected, unwelcome surprise that his right left leg wasn’t keen on supporting his weight. A sudden jab of intensified pain shot through the limb, and he quickly realized it was bleeding. A large bite mark resided where a patch of sleek fur once had, the mark of teeth in flesh evident.
He had been lucky that his leg remained, and no flesh had been removed. The Beonze Knight had been awfully close to having his leg ripped apart. But at least the vixen was dead. Freshmeat, panting from exertion, turned to get a brief look at the wound, as the bloody leg was lifted tenderly above the ground. Inches from his haunch lie the bite mark. At least his hip wasn’t crushed. The battle was slightly winding down now, and adrenaline that had masked the pain was crumbling away. But despite this Freshmeat (Sproutfleck?) remained poised and fluffed up, a hint of an oncoming snarl on his muzzle.

Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
The fox Wolfhive had gone for saw him coming, and turned in time to close its jaws around Wolfhive's head. In hindsight, it probably wasn't his best technique but he had been focused on KILL primarily. He hissed angrily as teeth tore through his skin, and used his paws to tear upwards - aiming for anything he could catch his claws on.
It recoiled backward, hurt by Raggedear - and Wolfhive staggered back while he shook off the pain of having his head chomped. Blood blurred his vision briefly, but he could barely make out Raggedear dangling and hear his voice. He went for it.
After latching onto its side, the fox stumbled beneath both their weights and crumbled. It thrashed aggressively, trying to hit Raggedear with its teeth - but couldn't quite get to him with where he was angled. For the sake of wrapping this up, Wolfhive maneuvered himself into a better spot - still helping hold the fox down - so he could tear out its throat. Within moments, it was done convulsing and went limp.
Upon examining the chaos, it seemed all the foxes were down. Great. And the trio he had pointed out to kill the foxes off didn't seem too badly hurt, which was even better. Sproutfleck seemed like he might be the worse off. "Well done. Brackenclaw, Raggedear, Nightgaze - go on and finish off the kids.." Looking at the bodies gave him an idea, and he prompted to Mudhound. "Do you think we can move some of these? Disable any of the remaining traps, then using them for the vultures?" Mudhound was like, ancient compared to everyone else here. If someone knew the feasibility of this plan it'd probably be them.

Re: foxes round 2: FIGHT!
Brackenclaw nodded his acknowledgement of the order and would head off to do just that. Brackenclaw would head forward where he smelled the stench of Fox. He found a den where he would see a few pups. Brackenclaw didn't want to do this something in him just felt bad killing young. But he pushed those feelings away these fox pups would one day become bloodthirsty adults just like what they just fought. Brackenclaw steeled himself for what needed to be done as he approached the den. (I would prefer not having to rp out the actual killing if that's okay.) @ BEAR.
