Finally, he felt he had done something correctly, at least more so than before. It was also an achievement to receive praise from a cat that seemed as strict as this warrior, causing him to get a bit of a new light to his eyes and a small grin cracking his typically neutral expression.

“Alright!” he purred, more enthusiastic than he had been before. He went back to the start again, waiting to see if the warrior would say anything else or give further ideas or instructions.

Flytail watched as Spiderpaw got back into position he felt a small sense of pride for the apprentice though he knew better than to say anything about it. "Rember light paws fur flat, now I want you to try and sneak up on me ill go ahead a little bit you must catch me off guard," he says while keeping his eyes trained on the apprentice.

"Once you spot me try to stay downwind if I catch you then you lose but if you win you get bragging rights," he says while grinning softly nothing like a little bit of competition to get things going if the apprentice could sneak up on him then Spiderpaw was ready. "Ready?" "Go" he trots, leaving a clear path for the apprentice to follow.

He let the cat go ahead a bit, not planning on trailing too close. He would hide in the overgrowth and hope he could stay quiet, then pounce like it was an ambush. He watched until he felt the cat was far enough, creeping to downwind and out of the warriors line of sight, hiding in the plenty of plants. He got into a good crouch, making sure to re-incorporate everything he had just learned then carefully crept up to where the warrior was.

He was thankful that downwind had been behind the tom. Did the warrior want him to just go behind him, or to pounce on him? He didn’t know and he didn’t want to hurt him either.

He trotted dead ahead making sure to get a good distance away now was the fun part he just had to wait. As he slowed his trot to a brisk walk he listened closely making sure not to be caught of guard though this apprentice seemed to be hard working. He then felt a pair of paws on him he jerked back though he definitely got supprised

“Excellent job you did well..though you were trained by me so I would expect no less” he said with a small smirk. “You’ve earned it let’s head back to camp if your ready?”

A pang of relief hit him whenever the warrior didn’t notice him the whole time. That’s skill right there! And he was another step closer to his ceremony. He definitely had to make sure to remember FlyTail, for the important skill the warrior had taught him. He was A okay with giving him all the credits for it too. “Thank you FlyTail!” he said appreciatively to the tom as they padded back and reached camp.
