[Blaaze]

Faithfern exists and ponders about deputy and Silverstar. She then wondered what would happen if Silverstar died. Well... she'd take charge. She felt a sense of firm trust in Silver, but also confidence in herself if it came to the point where she would step in.

Faithfern jumps in suprise, and her green eyes wide. Then they narrowed. This couldn't be good. Not good at all, if Dawnpaw was sobbing like this. What's wrong, Dawnpaw? What's the matter? Calm yourself, then tell me what happened.

Dawnpaw takes deep breaths, and explains. "S-Silverstar is dead! I-I saw this shadow from the Dark Forest... Trying to get me to worship him... I refused, and he killed off the rest of Silverstar's lives..." Dawnpaw starts to cry. "I-It was too early... She-She shouldn't have died..."

Faithferns blood ran cold. are you sure there's no chance that Silverstar is alive? Floatdrop too? oh Starclan, not yet! Silverstar had just become leader! There was a chance, she knew, somehow Silverstar and Floatdrop could survive.

I haven't seen her since I left for the place Silverstar took us paws." just then, Eclipsepaw and Pearlpaw arrive, with Silverstar's body as they would need it, also Dawnpaw told them to. Faithfern swallows. Hard. Well... their spirits could always come back.... Starclan sometimes allowed it, right? Either way, she pushed past her shock and grief and nuzzles Dawnpaw. don't worry, little friend. I suppose... this clan is my responsibility now... her voice trailed off. It wasn't. Not officially. That was a fact. A lump lodged in her throat she sniffed her leaders pelt. The scent of death made her gag. Darkclan... gather here beneath the boulder for a clan meeting. she had jumped on a random Boulder, not even caring.

Stormfire does not come. Lunalight and Hailstorm come, confused. Dawnpaw sits next to Lunalight with her head tilted down in sorrow. Duskpaw sat, oblivious. Eclipsepaw and Pearlpaw are a little busy.

Oh, Starclan. Faithfern looked down at the clan. Her clan. She couldn't believe this... this awful occurrence. "Cats of Darkclan... as you know Floatdrop has been sick lately, and I believe she's... died from this. Awful, I know, and there's nothing we can do about it. Except... one thing. Which I will get to in a moment. Unfortunately, though..." she stared grief-strickenly at Silverstar's body, hidden behind the boulder. "Silverstar is dead. Now, she didn't appoint a deputy, so I have decided to take the role. I will be Darkclan's new leader. It's too soon, and it hurts, that we've had two leader already. The legendary Darkstar and the wonderful Silverstar. I am proud to be the third leader of Darkclan." Her eyes bore into Hailstorm, then raked the clearing. "Any problems with me becoming leader? Speak now or forever hold your peace." Not waiting for a reply but for a moment she moved on. "I will get my nine lives soon, not to worry. Also, I will select a deputy when I have the chance. And even though they're all littermates..." she stared at Dawnpaw, then smiled. "I'd like to reward Dawnpaw for her actions. I am aware she is young, butShe showed courage and bravery in the face of a threat. Maybe even more bravery than some of our warriors. So... I'd like to make her a warrior early. If you'll accept, of course?"
