It was sort of disturbing to hear, but it made sense. Why battle if not to draw blood? Grinning, Eveningpaw slightly lowered their body to the ground, before Owlthroat's paw hit their shoulder unexpectedly, resulting in them stumbling. But they quickly scramble back on all fours, grinning. This was exactly what they'd wanted! Some proper training, at last!

Unsheathed their claws, Eveningpaw aimed a light slash across Owlthroat's chest, enough to probably tear some fur off but not enough to cause any pain.

Eveningpaw lurched forward and he let the blow land. A tuft of fur ripping from his chest, the big beast shrugged it off and darted at the youngster.

Aiming for a light bite to scruff them on the back of the neck. Easy dodged but this was a warmup and a teaching lesson after all.
