Hmm... Okay, seemed simple enough! "Oh, okay!" He chirped happily, he could definitely remember that. He sat, paws shuffling in excitement for what was to come.

Shellpaw bounced to his paws, "YES!!" he yelled - finally! He'd waited so long to have a go at swimming - with RiverClan moving territories, the rivers had been far too rough for kit lessons. But he wasn't a kit any more! He'd get to wet his paws properly!

Woahhhh... A river he could finally swim in! Now that it was real, he wasn't even sure what to do. Shellpaw crept up to the river, prodding it with a front paw. It was a little cold, but nice! They dropped one paw in, then another, then they were in. They wobbled a little, not entirely sure how to place their weight - this was entirely different to be on land. He began to paddle his paws as Oliverat had instructed - it was a little messy at first. He splashed a little too hard and water got in his eyes, finding himself shaking his head dry, but soon enough he'd kinda got the hang of it.

Smoothly entering the water himself, Oliverat instructed politely “Slow it down! Ya want full vision when swimming." He slowly swam in front of the apprentice

Trying to focus on Oliverat's instructions, he calmed down, and paddled slower. It was a lot trickier than he'd expected, but he was beginning to find his footing. "Is this right?" he treaded water, tilting his head at Oliverat. He was a little unsure, but it felt like he was doing well!

Eep! Looked like it was time to take on the currents! Oliverat was keeping his head raised, so Shellpaw made sure to follow suit. They paddled along after their mentor - the currents were rough compared to the calmer bit and far harder to handle. It was nice though, swimming through a current instead of simply walking. "Does the river get any rougher than this?" he queried, unsure how he'd deal with a stronger current - yet, a little excited at the idea.

“It can do but quite dangerous even for 'omecat like me. Don't recommend it though, kidda" Oliverat warned

"Awh," he sighed, as if it wasn't hard to fight these currents (it sure was). Swimming was getting a little easier though - and if Oliverat didn't recommend swimming anywhere trickier than here, that meant he was doing pretty good!
