Damnit. Ah, stars damn it all. Sweetbriar was not one to miss patrols, not usually -- but somehow she'd missed this patrol, and now... skies! She ought to deal with it now.
Stepping up to Vulturefang as he called out her name, Sweetbriar let out a soft sigh. She didn't argue, because she knew not to be cheeky in this situation. It was her own damn fault. Side-eyeing the scarred deputy a moment, Sweetbriar waited until he had finished speaking before she inclined her head, wheeled around, and trudged back to ShadowClan's Break.

Ugh, a boring herb patrol? And he was stuck with his mentor? This was going to be so dull. Tail tip flicking irritably, wide orange hues scan the clearing for sight of Sagechaser because the Bat didn't know (or care to know) who the other cat he was to be searching for leaves for with even was.
Cunningthroat quickly made it back to report. "Nothin' weird at the border" he reported. And with that, he should be finished now unless something else happens. Again, he wasn't sure where the other two are, but as usual he didn't really care enough to look. He just wanted to get out of this punishment as soon as possible and stop embarrasing himself because no one reported the patrol. He didn't really take that long to remark the border, probably a few minutes or around that so there's somethin'. "if there's nothing else, i'll take my leave"

Plodding back into ShadowClan's clearing, Sweetbriar made her way to the ragged-furred deputy, clearing her throat. Well, it had been her own fault for missing that patrol, but she'd made up for it now, so she refused to feel awkward. Meeting the deputy's blue gaze, Sweetbriar blinked. "I'm back." Her tone was an unintentional low rumble, a Wendigo's Song, a mimicry of Dawnstar's throaty voice.
Shaking her head and blinking rapidly at the voice she'd accidentally switched over to, Sweetbriar cleared her throat again, this time her voice switching over to one more familiar to her; Hazelstripe's. "I hunted these." Hopefully Vulturefang would assume he'd heard wrong, and not question her uncanny ability to pick up on voices.

Darkcloud scanned the clearing for Elmshadow and soon found him and wasted no time to walk up to him, a respectful dip of her head as she greeted him.
"Greetings Elmshadow my apologies the patrol was slow but went quite well either way" she told him calmly her face neutral there was nothing much to report really.

It was that time of day again...
Sauntering over to Shadow Ledge Vulturefang took a seat and sorted through his mental notes. Alright, alright, alright... Today was basic. Shadowclan needed food, and the borders needed to be checked. Y'know the usual... What else was new? Moving on, the massive deputy laid his eyes on the desired cats and prepared his orders.

And that wrapped it up for the day, now the real show would be if these guys actually did they're job. He assumed so this time, so there wasn't a need to get his fur in a bunch. Anyway... Now he had to wait for the two love birds to arrive so he could do his given job.

Slugbelly couldn't help but keep his eyes glued to the deputies face as his name was called for patrol. He'd... oh stars.... he couldn't get that one word out of his head! Vulture had called poor, lowly little Sluggy 'babe'! What an honor!! Sluggy didn't deserve such obvious affection from the deputy, but he couldn't help but sigh over what could possibly be... He could never pursue him of course! No of course he couldn't!! But he could dream about it all he likes!
Why had he been called again? Oh, yes! A patrol! Dear, sweet Vulturefang had entrusted him with a patrol!! And Skullshatter would be tagging along too!! How lovely! With hearts in his eyes and delusions in his head, Slugbelly went off to find his patrol mate.
