Alpinepaw wandered into the Nursery out of curiosity. She remembered being here as a kit. Most of the cats she knew of disappeared when she became an apprentice. What she usually did as a kit was watching other cats.

Memories suddenly flooded back. She soon felt gloomy and longed to be a kit again. Alpinepaw moved to the side of the entrance and watched the kits and queens.
