Tail drooping, Squirrelpaw headed out of the camp through the tunnel in the clearing wall.

Feeling her eyes begin to water, Squirrelpaw quicked her pace and headed for the opposite direction past the ShadowClan border [ Saltmeadow Marsh ] and into unclaimed territory.

The she-cat eventually slowed, her green eyes glistening sadly.

The sadness in her gaze hardened into hate in a matter of seconds.

This is all Tansypaw's fault.

Squirrelpaw extended her claws and dug them into the ground. She stripped some moss from a nearby tree's roots and made a makeshift nest in between them.

The molly settled down into the makeshift nest, curling into a ball.

''Talk about disloyalty,'' Squirrelpaw muttered underneath her breath before drifting off into a disturbed sleep.

A small smile brightened Dusklion's face as she watched the apprentice retreat. It was sad, sure, but it had to be done. If anything, Squirrelpaw had gained a bit of respect from the warrior for following through on the punishment. Looking around, the warrior was quick to spot another cat who could fill in. "Shellwhisker! Be a doll 'n join Frostwhisker 'n Warmwater here on a hunting trip? Thanks!"

Whew! All settled. Turning back around Dusklion trotted back over to Pristinepaw with a grin and took a seat to wait for her brother - where was he??

''Will do, Dusklion!'' The molly called over to her Clanmate before bounding over to her patrolmates gracefully.

Whisking her tail, Shellwhisker slipped outside of camp, as if a signal for Frostwhisker and Warmstream to follow.

Fadingsun trotted up to Dusklion and Pristinepaw at a brisk pace, a bit out of breath. He'd been a stone's throw from camp when he'd heard his name called; good thing he'd decided to head back from his little excursion when he did.

"Sorry," he panted. "Was off in the territory doing a couple of things. I'm ready now." He glanced in Pristinepaw's direction, a bit of concern flashing in his gaze. "Do you think it's wise to take an apprentice with barely any training to a border? Don't take offense, Pristinepaw. Just trying to look out for everyone here; WindClan and RiverClan aren't on particularly good terms right now. If something happens, we might not be able to protect her."

He nodded politely as he looked for his patrol mates as he walked over to Minkpaw and waited for Troutstone. "I was just at the graveyard for my last patrol, but lets see how good we can do!" he meowed towards the apprentice.

she politely dipped her head in greeting, glad one of her patrolmates had located her already.

Mmm, delicious fish. Tasty, delicious fish- Oh, was that his name Snowbird was calling for patrols? Certainly sounded like it. Troutstone gaze forlornly at his meal. Ah well; he was a real warrior... And real warriors did not waste! The grey tom lunged into his food again, swallowing it down as quickly as he could before licking his chops and locating his patrol. He flicked his tail in discomfort as he saw that they had already gathered and were waiting for him. Perhaps he had taken slightly longer that he though. He offered the two a sheepish smile, then gestured to the entrance tunnel. "Let's head off now."

After waiting awhile and the apprentice still didn't show, Sorrelblaze's joke-lifted smile slowly faded. Ah jeez, maybe they took him seriously and now they didn't want to go? "Mistypawww, I was just kidding. It's a hunting patrol. We need to leave-" He called out toward the apprentice's den, assuming they would be in there. He glanced back at Snowfall, unsure if they should move on without the apprentice or not.

Mistypaw had been dozing in the apprentice’s den, and she almost didn’t hear her name called for a patrol. Her one sleepy eye blinked open as she became aware of her name being said, but she had no idea for what. Tilting her head, she got up from her nest and looked around in confusion. Oh.. there was someone coming. Curiously she stared at the warrior with her one amber eye, recognizing them as.. Sorrelblaze! Yep, that was it. Ah, his words explained the situation. A hunting patrol, in the middle of leafbare. How nice, she thought sarcastically, but innerly, she knew it was necessary. “Sorry, was sleeping when patrols were called!” she hastily apologized before following Sorrelblaze and Snowfall out of camp.
