The apprentice did as she was told. She dropped to the ground and noticed a small vole a short distance from her. Darkpaw slowly crept toward it, not noticing a small twig in front of her. She accidentally stepped on it and it made a crack. And there went the vole. She sighed and stood up.

Darkpaw nodded and looked around for any more prey, she found a plump mouse and tried again, creeping on the ground. She watched as she walked then leaped at the mouse, she caught it but held it by it's tail. "So I.. bite it now, right?"

Darkpaw did as she was told and bit the mouse's neck, it made a quiet squeak before dying. She dropped the mouse and stared at it. "So.. we take it back to camp, right?"
