Insincerity seemed to tinge the apprentice’s demeanor for a moment as Rushingmoor watched but again, he had no proof. Soon, the young Tom was apologizing and the striped warrior let his observation float away on the wind, knowing that it was entirely possible he was letting his mood impact how he saw this little meeting at the border.

This was Breezefeather’s gig, so Rushingmoor didn’t say anything to the apprentice despite feeling that Russetpaw’s tone held a note of disrespect. Again, the toyger mix’s emotions could have been getting in the way. When it came to the other apprentice- Foxpaw, according to Russetpaw- Rushingmoor was more than willing to escort her away even if, as Breezefeather said, that was uniquely dangerous at this border. The kid seemed nervous and upset, hiding something perhaps or simply worried about her clan knowing about her indiscretions. Mistakes must have been more dangerous in Shadowclan.

“I can escort Foxpaw deeper into her territory at the least, if not directly to her leader.”

Foxpaw kept silent. Then one of the Windclan cats decided he wanted to escort her back. “No. I can go on my own. No one else needs to get in trouble.” She said quietly. Stepping out from behind Russetpaw she faced the other two. “No one should need to.” Foxpaw admitted. She knew she shouldn’t be here. And she wouldn’t tell Dawnstar she had been here. That didn’t stop her from being nervous though.

Rosebriar’s nose wrinkled as she got her pretty paws soaked in cold sludge. How did ShadowClan live in this marshland? Well, they were weird. And dark. I can understand why Blackhaze is so weird, she thought, snorting. That encounter was fresh in her mind. Okay, so maybe patrols weren’t her favorite. But she was helping WindClan. Once more, the former spunk that she’d had as an apprentice crossed her mind.
I mainly wanted to become a warrior so I had more freedom, she reminded herself. That made her feel better. Yep, that had been it. A smile twitched on her lips, then it dissipated at the thought of getting this muck off of her paws. They might as well get on with it.
Rosebriar halted, glancing behind her. Omenmist and Rosepaw - I was called that several moons ago - were a bit behind her. Wait, wasn’t Omenmist leading this patrol? Her thoughts and eagerness to get it done with had made her rush ahead.
“Come on! Let’s get this over with,” Rosebriar called, keeping her voice sweet but also making sure that she understood how much she detested the marshland.

This leafbare had been mild so far- abnormally so. There was no snow, no ice, hardly ever a real lasting frost... But the land was wet. It rained frequently enough. Nettlespark finds himself venturing out towards the wetlands, his paws sinking into the loamy soil. The tom was alone, out on a Think Walk. He knew where he was headed, though not of how close to the border he'd gotten while lost in his own mind.
He hadn't seen Deadpool in what felt like ages. Yet he was in WindClan, having joined specifically for her. He even told Twilightstar about that much- But with the chimera pulling a disappearing act and shying away from getting near him, was his position in WindClan still secure? Worries swarmed his thoughts like bees as the young warrior comes upon the border of the two Clans- his former and his present.

Gingerfrost padded through the damp earth, not bothered by it. She was used to the marshy territory. A squirrel was clamped between her teeth, nearly as long as she was tall, it's tail dragging lightly on the dirt. As the wind changed directions, she caught scent of WindClan. She looked over curiously, fur bristling a little. She was about to drop the squirrel and angrily confront the WindClanner so close to her border, but there was something familiar about his scent. She trotted over, still on edge, and approached, stopping a few fox tails from the border. She set the squirrel down beside her, and peered closer at the cat.
The tiny ginger molly's eyes widened with surprise as she recognized the tom. She had near perfect memory, there was no way she'd forget him. She padded a few steps closer. "Hey there Nettlespark!" she called loudly raising her tail in greeting. Her words were calm. "Not having second thoughts about leaving, are ya?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. She was pretty sure he shouldn't be so close to the border, but he didn't seem to be a threat.

Rosebriar looked around. Well, it seemed like her patrol wasn’t coming. Rolling her eyes, she continued to look around. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a regular border. Sighing, she began to turn around and head back when, without warning, a screech sounded above her. Startling, she looked up to see a raptor swooping toward her.
Hissing, she drew her claws out and swiped at the bird as it came hurtling toward her. “Hey! Are you guys even listening?!” No response. Would she have to do this by herself? She couldn’t scar, not again! The she-cat sliced at the bird with all her might as it tried to grab her with its talons. They scored through her thick, shiny pelt, and she yowled as blood ran down her sides and pain shot through her. It’s fine, it’s nasty, but not too deep. Then the bird lunged for her eye, and she ducked, feeling it nick her shoulder with its beak.
Rosebriar, gasping, decided that she couldn’t fight this thing alone. And why wasn’t her patrol helping? Where even were they?! She wanted to ditch it, but instead, she decided to shake it off. Running, she went in circles as the bird shrieked.
Without warning, the ground disappeared from underneath her paws. Growling, Rosebriar tried shaking it off, but to no avail. Let go! Fury shot through the small, slender she-cat, and she bit its scaled foot - hard. With a squawk, the bird let go, and she fell to the ground. The wind was taken out of her for a moment, and she couldn’t breathe. There were rapid wingbeats as the bird flew away.
Did it leave? she thought blearily. Her head was spinning. Not such easy prey, huh? Yet her muscles ached, and her sides were bleeding pretty badly. The she-cat struggled to her paws, staggering.

Prompt: Theres been a ton of activity here lately, there are scents of windclan cats everywhere and their side of the border looks pretty turned over. None cross the border but somethings up with windclan. Theres also a single rabbit on the shadowclan side of the border.

Ah the windclan border.... Wow this one was going to be a mess. Adderfang was on full alert as she approached the stretch of the territory next to the moor hovering near the apprentices and darting to find an elevated position to survey the area in turn. No sign of current activity but one could never be too cautious here, the large warrior would remain close.
"Well welcome to the whispering wetlands, and across that scent line is our enemies. Windclan is on average the smallest clan but do not mistake that for weakness, they are as a group extremely fast and have the ability to dodge attacks far easier than most clans do. They are lean but energetic cats though are notably weak in a few areas. First of all overpowering them is rather easy and they struggle with non open areas as theyre unused to it. Theyre also a clan full of idiots. I've no clue why but if you listen in at gatherings you'll find most apprentices talk a lot about bugs? and are rather immature. The leaders own apprentice was recently named warrior and has a long history of interrupting important events and needing a minder which I think says a lot.

Our history with them is less violent then riverclan until recently. Due to a series of incidents along the border during Icestars reign Twilightstar publicly demanded an apology at a gathering, which she did not get, mounted a two pronged attack on us as we returned from the gathering. As Im sure you all can remember one group destroyed our camp while the other attacked our group and drove us from our territory which we later took back form the rabbits. Tensions have been high ever since.

Now you know the drill by now what do you know about the area and prey here. Any known predators?"

One should be immediately obvious Adderfang reflected noticing the semi hidden rabbit a stretch away. Shrewpaw was chosen as patrol lead for being knowledgeable and Marigoldpaw for being an effective fighter so the large warrior would be looking for a cat with awareness here.

Shrewpaw had known there would be a lot of scent, of course there would be considering how at odds the two clans were, but he hadn't expected how churned up and marked the earth near it was. He was pleased that, as he walked directly along the border, that there was no Windclan scent to be found. Very good. The rabbits were staying on their own side of the border. Scenting the air again, he wanted to make sure no Windclanners were around, the small tom scented a rabbit.

It was well covered up by the markers odor, and he had to look around several times to spot it, but it was on their side of the border. Moving forward, not exactly sure what he was supposed to do to catch it, he saw the rabbit tensing to run. Knowing he couldn't let it head back into Windclan territory he moved sideways, cutting off that avenue of escape unless it turned around. Rushing forward, he was unprepared for the strength of the rabbit as it kicked out, sending him a tail-length away.

Scrambling to his feet, he figured one of the other apprentices would have noticed the prey by now, and in his haste to make the kill himself he slightly misjudged his leap, flying over the prey before doubling back in an attempt to snag its retreating hindquarters in his jaws. He was unable to, and the rabbit ran back towards the group of cats, Shrewpaw in hot pursuit, barely gaining. Still, he would be unable to catch up to it before it crossed the border, although there was still the chance one of the other apprentices could finish it off.

Moonpaw saw Shrewpaw leapt after a rabbit. As the rabbit came closer she hide in what little undergroth there was when it passed she leaped on it and snapped its neck. She picked up the Prey and placed it in front of Adderfang. " here you go" She said getting back with the group

Good catch you two frecklepaw said looking at the rabbit there are obviously rabbits. The other prey is voles and mice? And there are foxes here sometimes right? he asked aswering the question
