As soon as his name was call, his breath caught in his throat. It was finally time! Regaining any lost confidence, Cotton'kit squealed and half bounced half ran to the very front. Who was his mentor going to be? The kit sat down, trying to can his excitement. Just calm down, and you'll make it thru this. Taking few deep breaths, he maintained a neutral expression, although on the inside it felt like he was ready to burst.

Frostpaw

Frostpaw pouted. It seemed like the perfect time to attack ThunderClan and RiverClan. ThunderClan seemed vulnerable at the moment, and RiverClan was being aggressive toward ShadowClan and needed to be knocked down a peg. He would definitely try to pick a fight, though. Messing with border patrols was something he did quite frequently, actually. From moving the scent marker a couple taillengths in enemy territory to 'exploring' enemy territory at night. Sometimes, he would eat his prey, then drag the bones across the border for the patrols to find. It was great fun.

With the three kits gathered, Dawnstar swiftly moved on wanting to wrap this meeting up. "From now on until you've earned your warrior names you will be known as Mosspaw, Sandpaw, and Cottonpaw." Dawnstar meowed, though paused head tilting in an almost casual manner that quickly grew disturbing as a throaty snarl ripped itself free.

"Berrykit!" The molly's tail slashed the air behind her in large irritated waves. This kit was so forgettable to her, nothing, in particular, stood out about her, and the fact that she didn't know how to use her voice got on Dawnstar's last nerve.

She had forgotten to apprentice the kit during the last meeting, it might have been her fault, but the blame could only go so far when the kit refused to say anything about it. Naturally, Dawnstar would eventually recall to get the moron apprenticed, but who knew how big she'd get before then. "Get over here now!"

Curiosity sparked in Shadestripe's eyes. Berrykit hadn't been called
up with the other apprentices, had they done something that had
to be punished? He hadn't been keeping track of who would become an
apprentice when but maybe Dawnstar would mentor them herself.
Perhaps...

Shadestripe grunted something under his breath.
Well no matter, he wanted to know about Berrykit, she looked slightly
bigger the the Moss-, Cotton-, and Sandpaw so maybe Dawnstar
had just forgotten about her. Shadestripe couldn't blame her,
the kit didn't seem particularity interesting. He of course
wanted an apprentice but preferably Sandpaw, he
had a little to mush energy but Shadestripe
would be able to fix that.

Berrykit silently wished a black hole would swallow her up and she wouldn't have to do this, but it didn't. Scampering forward, she looked up at Dawnstar, eyes wide.

"You must really enjoy spending time in the nursery." The ticked-off leader spat as soon as the kit arrived in front of her. "I have half a mind to simply leave you in there for another two moons." She wouldn't really, the kit would take up unnecessary space and once cats hit six moons Dawnstar felt that they should start learning to feed themselves and support the clan. They weren't full-grown warriors yet and would need someone to be responsible for them, but apprentices couldn't be lazing around as they had as kits.

"You can speak, so why the hell didn't you say something when you didn't hear your name called?" It was infuriating knowing the kit had been just sitting letting everything go on without her. "How long were you just going to sit there and not say anything about being apprenticed?" Some cats were just soo--

"I can be forgetful once a while when I find something.... insignificant. But I have a whole clan to look after so I think I can be excused. You on the other paw have no one but yourself to look after when it comes to training and bettering yourself for the clan. You must speak up when you are overlooked for important things like your apprentice ceremony. Got it." Dawnstar expected to hear the kits answer in a loud and firm voice. The time for babying hairballs was over.

Spottedpaw quickly scurried over to sit in the mass of cats underneath the shadowledge. She had just got back from training, and she wasn’t looking forward to coming back to camp until she heard that a clan meeting was going on. It looked like three kit got they’re apprentice names, and one kit was being scolded for no showing up, or, something.
