Blackhawk padded inside the clearing and went toward Shadefrost "Patrol have been done, we aren't reporting any activity on the other side, ThunderClan border hadn't been marked since a long time apparently, their sent isn't present... Possible technical solution, send a patrol of two or three cats over the border to see what is happening there, but first we might ask Dawnstar about that one..." @Levi 99 @Silvershadow13 @Queen_Coral

Shadefrost gave a tiny smile. "Thanks for the report Hawk," he said cheerfully. He sat up with a quick stretch, groomed his fur a second or possibly third time that day, then said, "I'll give Dawnstar your suggestion," before dismissing the warrior.

[**Just to be clear, the enforcers have been handling patrols by sending them out at the beginning-ish of each month. If you're looking for accountability, there's a list of who's responsible for each given month on the first post of the Mossy Lookout thread. It looks like patrols were sent out at the beginning of May by Sorrelflare and all border patrols were done (I didn't get to checking hunting). The Shadowfur patrols during May looked like they had just been extras, not actually sending out routine required patrols. Shadowfur was going to take over patrols beginning this month but given the circumstances, Cougarivy will be handling them again for June. Maybe I'm missing something but, unless the enforcers wanted to up patrols to more than once a month, I'm not sure where the idea came from that they haven't been sent out recently? Please let me know if I missed something ><]

The black and white enforcer commander padded in her usual bouncy, jovial manner towards the Shadowledge. It was about time for patrols and she hadn't seen Shadowfur. He could take it up with her later or interject if he decided he had a problem with her covering the patrols she had originally planned to take care of anyway. She faltered as she moved closer though, seeing Shadefrost in her spot and a gaggle of cats moving through and...reporting to him? Odd, she cocked her head but continued straight to the warrior. Her blue eyes caught Vixensnarl and Larkfire nearby but it didn't seem they had any paw in this. She cleared her throat, a curious smile playing at her lips, "Shadefrost, what is it that you're doing here? Because it looks to me like you're assigning patrols, and making quite the mess of them at that." She looked through the cats moving through and getting their reports. She'd heard Shadowfur sending out some impromptu patrols since Sorrelflare's last patrols but she was unsure what had become of those or how they went. As for Shadefrost's debacle, it didn't seem like it was a full patrol but enough that would make another set of patrols so close redundant and over-exerting. Showing the clan's strength in border markings was important but too many too close was either an act of perceived aggression or disorganization. She sighed. "Would you like to tell me what you sent out and how they went?" She quieted a moment, Windclan...Thunderclan...A patrol? Cougarivy rolled her eyes, "Before you go and make this into a bigger mess, were you not paying attention at the last meeting? Dawnstar does not want any patrols in Thunderclan territory." She took in a deep breath, trying not to let all of this give her a headache. Responsibility was such a bore! "I'm picking up that you sent out Windclan and Thunderclan border patrols? I got Blackhawk's report. How'd the Windclan patrol go? And is there anything else before I try cleaning up this mess?"

While she waited for Shadefrost to figure out his part in all of this, Cougarivy turned to doling out the patrols she figured still needed addressing. If Thunderclan and Windclan were just checked, she'd make sure one got sent out to Riverclan and then send out some extra hunting patrols though the prey pile was not overly concerning. "Spiderheart, take Shadepaw and Jayflower to Saltmeadow Marsh. Stay on our side of the border." She normally wasn't against provoking conflict but if one more cat made her be the responsible one in a given situation she might just lose it.

"Shadefrost, since you've enjoyed your time sending out some patrols, how about you take one out yourself? Take Seedpaw and Darkcloud with you to the Croaking Swamp for some hunting." Was she going to trust her daughter with Shadefrost, of course not. But she had no reason to not send her out with her mentor. Maybe getting her out on a patrol would keep the little seed out of her pelt. Though maybe calling her would just invite her to beg for attention again, oh well, what's done is done.

[ @perseus. I'm going to make this super optional lol. Please feel free to let me know if you'd rather sit Vulturepaw out of this, especially since the two already have an ongoing training sesh and I saw you're reducing some activity. I just wanted to get Cougarivy out on a quick patrol and who better than her trainee to join her? ]

Shadefrost blinked in surprise, as one of his most favorite hyperactive cats in Shadowclan addressed him by name. However, the surprise quickly turned into confusion then agitation as Cougarivy began berating him with questions and commands. With an inaudible sigh, the warrior turned his sapphire blue orbs on the Enforcer Commander and said in the calmest tone he could muster in his current state of mind, ”Ivy, you know that I like you.” No wait that was the wrong phrasing, ”Okay that’s a lie. You know that I tolerate you because of how fun you are, but please don’t talk so fast it’s super hard to keep up with what you're saying right now.” He brought his paw up to his head and gave it a short rub. Then, he slowly began to mentally cut into the cluster storm of words the molly sent his way. [B]”Alright, first things first, you’re assumption is correct I did just get finished sending out patrols. But it wasn’t as bad as you’re making it out to be. Second, yes I sent patrols to Windclan and Thunderclan, which have not changed much since the last time we checked. And finally, sure I don’t mind doing a patrol.” With that the warrior sat up and moved to the center of the clearing to find his patrol.

Darkcloud looked at Shadefrost slightly annoyed but followed him to the centre of the clearing and patiently waited "Come on Seedpaw" she called her apprentice calmly "The sooner we get this over with the sooner I can train her" she thought wanting to get the patrol over with quickly.

Seedpaw pranced over excitedly. Her mother was assigning patrols, but Seedpaw didn't look at her. She knew, better than her siblings, that there was no pleasing her or their father. They probably didn't even love any of them, the only one who had a shot was Dogkit. Seedpaw did not want to live her life based around pleasing her parents.

Shadefrost nodded half to himself. It was good to be happy when he could, but at the moment he wasn't really feeling it. Still he looked at the newcomers with a smile and said in a cheerful voice, "Well then, it look s like we're all here," before letting it fall away and adding in a not so cheerful voice, "let's go."
