Trotting out from camp under the weak rays of sunhigh, Kestrelstar slowed his pace as Cattail Pond finally came into view. It had been quite some time since he had been here. With leaf-bare fast approaching, it wouldn't be long before the pond began to freeze over and swimming lessons here would no longer be an option.

Casting a glance over his shoulder to make sure his apprentice had followed him out of camp. "Alright, so tell me. What is your experience with swimming?" Inquisitive yellow eyes watched Foxpaw as he waited for her answer, wondering where they should start.

She nodded.Foxpaw was super excited. Although she was very scared of water.SHe looked at kestrelstar and then at the pond.Uh oh. Water... W-w-with water? You could tell she was very nervous.

I-I-I don't know anything...She stepped back a bit. She shook her head. Foxpaw hated water. It reminded her of the ocean.And then of ice. Icestar..Bad bad Ice-star.Uh..Is it gonna hurt me?? She asked.

The muscular tuxedo stalked the moist earth, looking for the perfect fishing spot. She was out here to hunt for her clan and possibly, to think. Lizardfrost liked thinking. That harsh, pragmatic thinking based entirely round logic. Yet somehow it didn't seem enough. For one thing, she was concerned about handling Floodpaw. The demoted warrior was her responsibility now. But considering her actual aprentice had betrayed them during the battle (or so she'd heard), she wasn't sure how to go about this.

Of course, so far she was employing her tried and true tactic: working, Ever since the Snakeheart incident Lizardfrost was trying hard to sink into her work. Today, she was running on 6 hours of sleep and hadn't eaten since yesterday. She had already been on a solo border patrol, catching prey along the way, collected clean moss for nests and now was getting ready to fish. Maybe she should collect some herb as well. She felt great!

The cold was something Plumstorm was quickly learning she did not like very much. Yet she still ventured out on her own, in need of something to keep herself busy. It would be hard to call herself a decent member of RiverClan if all she did was walk around and occasionally find Kestrelstar out in the territory at night.

Her paws bring her back out towards the pond, and she remembers bringing home the cattails to fluff Snakeheart and Kestrelstar's dens. The thought crosses her mind to do the same, but as she is considering it, she sees she is not the only one out so far. "Good afternoon, Lizardfrost," she mews hesitantly. The shield was not very well acquainted with making the first move on another, or perhaps she was and just felt unsure all the same. She didn't know anymore.

Lizardfrost's ears shot up and she turned to face Plumstorm. She had complicated feeling regarding this cat. Well, that was wrong. The correct thing to say was she had complicated thoughts on this cat that in notarial cats would encourage feelings. They both seemed to have seen some form of injustice in the face of the accusations that, after being explicitly ordered to kill, they were to blame for the bloodshed entirely. All of these things Lizardfrost had suppressed immediately. This wasn't what she was supposed to be doing with her life.

Another tie between them was their participation In the shield tryouts, although only one of them had made it. Lizardfrost dud not understand the concept of jealousy. She dud, however, feel just a little but of hatred towards herself for failing. She probably hadn't been working hard enough, that's why she didn't get picked.

She wasn't sure what to do. She knew a greeting was in turn. Maybe then she could get started on fishing. Lizardfrost liked fishing because it didn't require a sense if smell and it didn't make her feel disabled.
