The lithe calico had, after who knew how many moons of holding his paws in such a negative light and not trusting them to lead him home like they always did, stumbled upon ThunderClan yet again - a small kit carried in his maw. He didn't know the kit, but he did, and that was as confusing as he typically was. The kit was his, but... who was he? His pale coat slipped into camp seemingly unnoticed, quiet enough that his presence seemingly did not garner any attention.
It appeared as if Spottedfire and the kit were just in time for something important! Cats were gathering around and he went to sit among them, listening intently for... anything... that was going on!
At least... I think we're home, little one... he thought to Burnetkit. Why'd he leave, again?

Poppywhisker noticed that Spottedfire was sitting alone with the kit. Amber eyes narrowing slightly, the tortoiseshell got to her paws and slunk around the edge of the clearing until she had reached Spottedfire and sat beside him.
Spottedfire had been looking at The Cat Everyone Else Was Looking At, when a voice cut through his fleeting concentration. His head turned as bicolored eyes grew wide with a slight fear, searching and failing to find any hint of a cat with that voice. Whoever this was, he didn't know her by sound or by scent.
"I... didn't mean to be gone so long!" his voice welled up in his throat, a whisper-mrrowr and eyes darting to the kit between his paws, tail curled around the outside. "I forgot where I was, and my paws couldn't remember for me."And I put him in danger! I'm a bad father, aren't I?
Alpinekit was next to the prey pile, smelling the fresh prey. She heard Bumblestar and looked around before getting up to walk. She quickly trotted to the Stormcrest Rock and sat down, tail wrapped around her body. Alpinekit looked up to see Bumblestar waiting.

Poppywhisker set her tail tip comfortingly on the tom´s shoulder.
´´I´m sure you didn´t mean to,´´ The tortie murmured softly, her amber eyes glowing with sympathy. ´´Just be glad that Bumblestar let you return. Think about where you and Burnetkit here -´´ The soft-furred molly bent her head nuzzle Burnetkit´s head with her nose. ´´- would be without her.´´
[only took half a year before someone said her name to him XD]

BUMBLESTAR!
That was Important Cat's name!
He'd forget near-instantly, but now he at least had a name for the Important Cat for a heartbeat. But it still didn't take the hurt out of his eyes or out of his heart. "I'm... I- I don't know. I never know. Names, faces, things- I can't... remember them, not like other cats. Honest, I didn't mean to leave or take him with me... he's attached to me and - all I remember about him is that I love him-"
It was then Spottedfire remembered that he didn't remember this cat, and his eyes widened yet again. "Oh! Um... I'm sorry if it's... a lot- I've never really talked about it - now's... not the time? For me... um - who are you? I'm Spottedfire! How'd you... know my name?"

A soft purr rumbled in the tortoiseshell´s throat.
´´The whole Clan had been talking about how long you´d been missing for when you first returned,´´ Poppywhisker tilted her head. ´´I overheard a couple of cats say your names.´´
The soft-furred she-cat looked from Spottedfire to Burnetkit and back to Spottedfire.
´´Anyway, my name´s Poppywhisker,´´ The molly mewed with a dip of her head. ´´Welcome back to ThunderClan.´´
"No one's really said hi to me... yet... I'm - honestly-" he looked again to Burnetkit, and sighed. "I don't know. Hi, Poppywhisker. I forget everything, all the time... so forgive me if I... introduce myself every time I meet you. I can't remember names or faces or what I had for breakfast."
He nudged his precious kit. "I can't remember his name, but I remember that I love him, and that I'm his papa. That's enough for me."
It was the only thing, it seemed, he did remember.
