Croakingkit was in the clearing, his brother was busy chasing a beetle, so he watched Splashkit and extended his paw in attempt to snag Splashkit’s tail, simply because he thought it would be funny.

Ribbitkit wandered into the elders' den, his eyes wide with excitement. He saw Ambertail snoozing in her nest and padded up to her. "Ambertail? Can you tell me a story? Please?" He prodded her with a paw, waiting for her to wake up.

“What?” Ambertail said sleepily “Oh! Hi Ribbitkit! So it’s a story you want? Let me think, about what do you want the story to be?” Ambertail meowed. She would do anything for Ribbitkit. Ribbitkit was her favorite kit in the nursery.

Ribbitkit was so busy thinking about how he would catch up to Croakingkit, that he forgot to pay attention to the ball. He jumped for it, but sighed as it made it into the goal. "You better watch out now! I'm not gonna let you win that easily!" He squealed and then flung the moss ball as hard as he could at Croakingkit's goal.

Ribbitkit squeaked as he jumped for the ball. It was the final stretch--this catch was what separated winning and losing. But, he missed the ball. "Nooooooooo!" he yelped as the ball just barely brushed over his claws before continuing into the goal. "Hrmph! I guess you won, but I bet I could beat you at a different game," he meowed, hoping his brother wasn't too tired to play another game.
