Fawnpaw blinked. "About...?" What was there to be worried about? Riverclan had a new leader and deputy now, and Twigpaw and Snakeheart were siblings so he and Reedpaw now had connections with high ranks! Of course, that wasn't why Fawnpaw sought out Twigpaw. It was more because he wanted to impress Streampaw, and Twigpaw seemed to have a knack for running into cats that Fawnpaw liked.
"...It's nothing." Reedpaw knew that Fawnpaw seemed excited for the new leaders but... he just couldn't help but worry about them. Why, oh why?

"Well, it doesn't sound like nothing..." Fawnpaw said, scooting closer to his friend. Why was Reedpaw so down?? This didn't make any sense!

Reedpaw shook his head, burying his face in his paws. "I don't wanna make you upset..." he whispered. He really didn't! He liked making Fawnpaw happy, not sad!

Fawnpaw rolled his eyes. "Well, I'm going to be more upset if you don't tell me what's wrong!" Fawnpaw didn't want Reedpaw to be upset alone! If it was really that bad, couldn't they share the grief with each other?

"... Can we go outside?" Reedpaw asked, surrendering to his friend. He really didn't want others to hear and get mad at his complaints.
Dusksong lay in a dark corner of the camp, overlooked by willow trees. She wasn't shady or anything like that. Dusksong was just uncertain. She had risen early so that she could volunteer to go on patrol but in classic Dusksong fashion, she had missed it. Instead, she had sat underneath the willow trees and wallowed in self-pity. Dusksong had a pretty great kithood, she was just, easily forgettable, overlooked? Great. I don't even know what to call it. She raised her blue eyes and glared at every passerby who didn't take notice of her. Not that many cats were left in camp, not after patrols were assigned and apprentices went off with their mentors for training. I hate aprentices. She didn't, really. Dusksong was only jealous of everyone who had one, but after all, she was only a few moons older than most.
Dusksong stared at Kestrelwing as he walked by her. What was he thinking? That's what she always thought when she saw a higher ranking cat. What were they thinking? She always thought it would be interesting to live a day in the life of a leader or deputy. Not medicine cat. Never medicine cat. She wouldn't admit it out loud. But she was scared of anyone who treated wounds. It was like they had the paws of her future in their honey and marigold layered paws. She shivered at the thought.

Aspenleaf padded out of the warriors den with a yawn. She looked around camp and saw Dusksong alone. Suddenly a shyness swept over her, which was very unlike herself. She shook her head to clear it and tried to spot Fizzlepaw. Not seeing him, she sighed and padded over to Dusksong. “Hey, what’s up?” She asked, trying to sound casual.
@Sparrowsong and Co.
Dusksong was jerked out of her train of thought by a voice, Hey, what's up. Her head swivelled and she stared hard at the cat. Who is that again? She never actually paid attention to others. She was far above them. Finally, she remembered. "Hi, Aspenleaf. Nothing." Dusksong was annoyed, Can't anyone get a nice morning of self-pity anymore? Ugh. She shook her head and blinked, Seem happy, Dusksong. She stood up from her curled up position and stretched. This was the cat who always hangs out with Fizzlepaw, right? Where is he? She looked around to no avail.
@Pheasantflight
She nodded and looked around, feeling awkward. She noticed Dusksongs odd expression and tilted her head. “Are you alright? You seem a little frustrated.” She scuffed the ground breifly with her paw, a little regretful that she may have just invaded Dusksongs personal space. As if she hadn’t enough already.
