Deadfeather came into camp rather quickly, quite fast considering they had hurt their foot. "Mirehound!" They called, urgency in their voice. Lifting the injured paw off the ground, their fluffy tail swaying from side to side. "We've got a problem, or rather Windclan does that could become ours." breath heavy from running from the border back to camp. "It's bad." They tried hard to stifle a chuckle at Windclans' expense.

"Windclan is on fire. If it reaches the grasses next to the river, and the embers are carried by the wind to our forest, it could be a problem for us."

They fluffed their fur up at the thought of the pines being on fire, that would not be good, at least windclan had minimal trees, the trees themselves are a danger to Shadowclan. Falling branches could hit a cat and hurt them, but combined with fire? Deadfeather did not want to see what would happen. "We were able to mark the border before, but there were holes, quite big, about two leg-lengths. I slipped on the edge of one and sprained my foot."

Froststorm came in a heartbeat after Deadfeather, and hopefully Lilypaw was just behind him. He came to stop and concentrated on slowing his heart and not looking like he was panting. He gritted his teeth and threw away his premade report as Deadfeather again took control of his patrol, but whatever. "But other than that, the patrol went smoothly and is complete. We all showed up."

After dropping her prey off at the prey pile, she slunk her way over to Mirehound, not exactly looking forward to telling her why she was late reporting back. She honestly felt stupid for trying to wait for or find her patrolmate when she'd disappeared after failing to show up once already.
"Our patrol was able to bring back 4 pieces of prey. However, Gladerunner did not show for the initial call for patrols, so I had asked Applechatter to come with me instead. Before we left, Gladerunner made an appearance, promising to keep up and contribute..... only to disappear again while we were in the territory."
She wanted to lash her tail, but refrained from doing so. It wasn't proper to take your frustrations out on the wrong individual....
"We are late returning, for I had initially insisted on waiting to see or hear from the one originally assigned to hunt with me. If punishment must be dealt, I ask that Applechatter not be involved, none of the patrol failings are their responsibility."
If nothing else, she would be damned if she let her own stupidity and choice to trust cause harm to befall her beloved sibling.

Cougarpaw padded back to camp and approached the shield. “Dogtooth [ @U.S.S. Catacombs ] and Beansprout [ @~'Atlas-The-Lemon'~ ] didn’t do much on the patrol and didn’t bother to come back to report it so i took initiative and i’m reporting myself. He jumped at the opportunity to show off his catch to Mirehound, she was one of the few cat's in the clan that he liked, if not admired. So he sought her out quickly so he could report. "The patrol went well, I caught a mouse and a huge squirrel." He said, shining with pride. "And Fallenflower caught... something. More importantly no herbs were damaged in the process." Was that how one was supposed to report a patrol? He wasn't quite sure, but you know, it worked.

Her name was the first one called, followed by someone she didn't really now, and her apprentice. The one that she hadn't seen or heard from lately, and at first she was excited to see him. But they sat around for a bit, waiting for his patrol-mates to show up. They didn't, so he padded into the center of the clearing to make himself more visible. But after another few seconds, he decided to just give up and head out, they should know where to go.

( I'll be having him go out by himself for now since it's almost due and no one has posted, feel free to have your character catch up, I just want to have this done asap. Also @Octavia! I'm not sure if Pinepaw's left at this point or not. )
