Well... A better idea comes to mind. If cats wanted to be irresponsible, that was fine. She'd be harsher with her punishments this time. Their herb storage was suffering-- there wasn't any room for tardiness. Not now. Turning to both Dapplewing and Falconflight, she offers a small, anxious smile before chirping back up.
"So, uh... Guess it'll just be us three, then. If that's alright with you two. It worked out one way or another..." Just had to ask like, three different cats to go out on patrol with no success. Sigh. "We should head somewhere with a good water source. Any ideas? Sorry, I haven't seen most of the territory yet..."

Minnowpaw walked into camp her single lizard dangling from her jaws and her her pelt still damp from falling into the spring.
She was honestly kind of annoyed. No, not annoyed, mad. Her patrol mates had left her! An apprentice alone. She was also an apprentice that has never had a hunting or fighting lesson. She was lucky to have even caught this lizard, and it had been sleeping.
“Larkstar?” She called.
How was she supposed to do this? She had never done this before.
“I’ve finished the Haven Springs hunting patrol.”

"Just you?" Lark asked, a little at a loss. Did the warriors leave an apprentice alone to do all the hunting? Of all the irresponsible things to do this was one of stupidest.

“I caught this thing though!”
While it wasn’t the most astonishing kill, it had been her first. She had to be proud of herself a little.

"Well," she said and forced a smile, making note of who she'd have to issue punishments out to already, "that's a good catch for just you - lizards can be pretty tricky! You're all set now, thank you for reporting to me."
Waving her tail excitedly as the patrol would approach camp once more, Cherry made haste in, hopefully, leading Pricklestep and Frecklepaw along with her.
"We've got sh'ome herbs for you, Tan'shy!" Cherryswirl purred in amusement at the way her voice pronounced the words, but you could only say so much through a mouthful of nostril-assaulting plants. Cherry placed down her small bundle, before moving to allow her patrol-mates to do the same.

Ah, great! Someone actually showed up! She was starting to get nervous that this would turn out like last time and they would end up with nothing. Seated with her short tail laying over her front paws, she smiles to Cherryswirl as she approaches, staring curiously at the bundle she had acquired.
"What did you end up getting?" She asks, head tilting off to a side. "Depending on how well our stock fills up... I might need you to come on another patrol with me to gather some new things I've learned about recently. Some of them will be crucial for this coming Leafbare."

yeah, suffice to say, the stoic sleuth of riverclan wasn't pleased to be entering camp with a maw full of acrid herbs and no patrol mates at his heel. he made it to the patrol place with quick, obviously irritated strides. if that didn't give away his annoyance, the furious lashing of his tail did. lucky him that tansypaw was already in sight when he arrived, because his mouth was too full to say anything. he found a cleanish looking stone to rest the herbs on so he could give his report. his voice was level and deadpan despite his irritation.
"carried all i could, whole plants because i figured it'd be more efficient. shellwhisker and bluebellpaw were with me, but i've got as much clue where they've ran off as you do. got tired of waiting for 'em. its getting late, anyhow, so i figured i'd head back with or without them."
rushwater nodded to his pile of herbs, "that should be three poppy flowers with plenty 'a seeds, and two burdock. the whole plant; i took care to dig around the roots so i could carry it all at once."
"if you need any more herbs, i don't mind going out again. i'm tired of slackers ditching their responsibilities and leaving others to pick up where they left off, but i'll do what i have to to make sure we make it through leafbare."
