Weepingiwllow sighed gently, settling in her nest as the kits and queens around her slowly exited until she was alone. As expected moment later, Nightwhisper came into the den to sit behind her, Weepingwillow snorted as he meowed, "Figured you were alone." Ignoring his remark, Weepingwillow purred her thanks as she gently leaned against him, it taking the pressure off of her stomach a bit. Sighing gently Weepingwillow was grateful, regardless of his patrols and hunting, Nightwhisper had always found time to come visit her. Showing his love even if it was silent licks and letting her lean on him. Weepingwillow sniffed gently, wondering if her kits would come visit her, they hadn't really visited her much.

Willowkit put her claw under moss, and grabbed more. " Mama you should have seen us kits! We fought off two RiverClan spies! They were so scared they ran back." She purred looked at OrangeFlower. " I think I can be an apprentice early now! And you can be my mentor." She mewed looked at the fluffy cat. @Rowan


"My name is Seakit." She mewed as she kicked the ball back. She looked at the other kit that was smiling silly. @Highsnow of Matterhorn ( sorry for the short post)

She perked her ears, listening as the kit spoke intently, though she was used to being the big-mouth in conversations. “Ah yes! I heard the ruckus all the way from the warrior den!” she chuckled, knowing Risingstorm was the so-called ‘invader’. She was sure the leader had fun with that one. “That’s great you can be my apprentice sooner! I don’t want you to be too young though! Training can be a lot.”

" Is 2 moons too young for apprentice?" She mewed to the Molly. " And training won't be hard, since you'll be teaching me!" She purred. The kit was so excited to start training she couldn't hold it back, so she had a silly grin on her face. @Rowan

“Well the typical age for kits to go into apprentice hood is 6 moons as I said. It may be harder for someone as young as you so I would say maybe wait a moon or two? I don’t want to hold you back though! If you want to go early we’ll just do shorter training sessions to build durability!” the idea had just sprang on her but she decided to share it. She appreciated the kits faith in her training abilities as well, just smiling and nodding.

The warrior picked up her moss and the kits to a near area with a bit more moss, carefully picking a larger piece of her own.

Sunpaw was aware that Bumie usually randomly selects cats to be mentors to new apprentices, but she's never seen a parent and child one before. She hadn't even gotten apprenticed to her own mother, especially since she had stayed as a queen. Maybe this kit's mother was feeling ready to go back to the job of a warrior, that was kind of admirable. "Really?! Thats awesome! I've never seen a parent and child kind of pairing before, maybe you'll be my first!" if she was able to she would be clapping her paws. She liked to see new stuff, it made everything in life interesting. "Yup, I'm a paw indeed and I'm already partially through my training and I got apprenticed like a few moons back?" she kinda forgot when she had been made a paw, all she remembered for sure was her sisters begging to join her in the ceremony.

Snakepelt peeked their head into the den, spotting Weepingwillow. They smiled instantly, padding over with more eager steps.

"Hello, mom"

They were unsure if they could still curl beside her like they used to as a kitten. So instead they lay their head on her flank, nudging her.

"How have you been? I'm sorry I haven't come sooner, my duties have kept me from visiting."

They knew it was a lame justification but it was the truth. Between training Porcupinepaw and giving lessons to other apprentices and patrols, it was difficult to visit her. Sometimes, even as much as they wanted to, they couldn't visit her because of sleep weighing them down. Almost everyday felt the same. Get up, go hunting for a while, and by then its nighttime and the day is over. They silently wondered if they could get up earlier to visit Weepingwillow, but refused to wake her up so early.

Weepingwillow looked up as her son came in, her eyes brightening instantly. 'Snakepelt." She purred gently, Watching her son lay his head on her flank, Weepingwillow gently reached over and licked her sons ears, only pausing as he asked how she'd been. "I've been well........ good. Carrying kits isn't easy." Weepingwillow pointed out, although her tone was fond she was straightforward. Flicking her grey ears Weepingwillow gave a teasing purr, "Hmm. Your apprentice keeping you busy? I'm proud of you for being a mentor. You and your sister." The queen meowed, her tone was genuine as she gently groomed her sons ears. Weepingwillow tensed up for a moment, breathing in deep, slow breaths as if calming herself. "Snakepelt... place your paw here." Weepingwillow said gently, "I think you little siblings want to say hi." The Molly purred, pointing to a spot on her belly for her son to place his paw.

Nightwhisper watched as his son walked in, giving him a gently nuzzle on the shoulder in greeting, Nightwhisper wasn't a cat words, well not cause he was a cool cold warrior, in reality he was just really akward. Nightwhisper watched Weepingwillow groom their son, Nightwhisper felt a small pang of jealousy but pushed it away, this was their son why would he feel that? Well, he didn't spend much time with his kits, which.... now that the Tom thinks about it he should start doing that. Nightwhispers nest was only a few away from his sons, seeing him tired and going to sleep late often. This secretly made Nightwhisper proud as he could tell he'd raised a hardworking warrior. Nightwhisper gently, a bit hesitantly at first, meowed, "Hows... being a mentor?" Nightwhisper winced at how akward that sounded.

Willowkit trotted along to the new place for moss. " Okay Mama! We can do shorter lessons." She purred as she put her claw under moss and got some. " I can't wait to be an apprentice! It's going to be so much fun." She mewed. A leaf flew down, and landed on Willowkit's nose. She sneezed and fell down. @Rowan

Seakit hadn't really played mossball, since no one really talked to her. "Sure!" She purred. She was so excited." Is this my first friend?" She thought as she smiled. @Highsnow of Matterhorn

"Since I'm a bit young (2 moons) Mama said that we could do shorter lessons." Willowkit mewed. "Who's your mentor?" She purred. " And my mama isn't my actual mother, but I think of it that way." @Kix
