ThunderClan Clearing

"They did fall for it! Branchfoot wasn't the best guard, but what if a dog was actually approaching? The warriors decided to not take that chance, and went to make sure there was no dog.

"'I don't see no dog!' snarled one warrior. 'This better be no prank again!'

"Branchfoot laughed. 'I got you, twice! You look so stupid!!'

"The warriors were pissed with Branchfoot.. but despite their complaints to Clan leadership, Branchfoot merely got a talking to, and a final chance at guard duty.

"It was an unusually dark night and a thick fog crept over the forest. Branchfoot could hardly see a whisker's breath away! Originally, they had planned on pulling another fast one on their Clan-mates.. but this time, they saw movement in the darkness. Heavy pawsteps pounded against the forest floor.

"And beneath the damp scent of mist, was the powerful, rank scent of a dog. A real dog, a beast that towered larger than all the trees in ThunderClan!

"Branchfoot was frozen in fear. Never in their wildest dreams had they seen a dog so monstrous. After a moment, they found their voice once more. 'Dog! Help! There's a dog!' .. When no one came, they tried again. More desperately. 'Please, help! This dog's real, I swear, please--'

"But Branchfoot had ruined their relationship with their Clan, and made a mockery of the cats who would have tried to protect them. The Clan thought Branchfoot was a liar, lying in wait to do another prank. No one came to save them.

"The dog attacked. Branchfoot was no matched for the beast as it snapped its jaws down around their lower jaw, and tore it off completely.

"Branchfoot died, a punishment of taking advantage of others' trust. It's said even to this day, you might see their spirit wander the woods in search of the jaw they lost. Sometimes, when the moon is black and a mist rolls in, you can even hear a distant cry... 'Help! Help! There's a dog...'" Wolfpaw left off there, curious to see how Beachkit would respond.

Beachkit -

OH NO! Beachkit couldn't believe they fell for it again! Stupid Branchfoot and the stupid ThunderClan warriors.

He tensed as the story continued, pulse quickening and eyes widening. What could be lurking out there in the creepy darkness!? Although too invested to stop now, a chill coursed through him envisioning the countless possibilities of some awful creature waiting to strike in the middle of a foggy night.

And the way Wolfpaw described the dog -- the monster of an animal -- was the scariest thing he'd ever heard! It wasn't in the same realm of Goatscrunch's tales of revenge and violence, this was horrifying. Made worse by nobody coming to the warrior's aid, even if they did deserve it for how many times there'd been a false alarm on their watch.

Beachkit shrunk back. Fear-inspired images of a torn-up Branchfoot flashed through his mind, and he couldn't shrug off the disturbing nature of the tale. It haunted him, despite his best efforts to appear unaffected and brave. Now that it was over, he could merely stare in awe for several seconds.

.. he preferred the love and drama stories. At least they didn't leave him on the brink of tears and with a freshly-intensified terror of dogs.

First order of business: "Is the dog gone now?" he asked, anxious, noting that little detail had been missing from the story. "What if there's another one like that?! As big as the trees, and.. mean as bees! What if the warriors think it's a joke?"

Eclispecloud

The she-cat pads into the clearing, heading over to the prey pile. She plucks up a mouse and heads over to an empty sunny spot to sit. She places the mouse betwee her paws as she begin to naw at it, chewing on it's chew texture.

goosekit sat in the clearing, he was very bored. none of the other kits wanted to play so he had nothing to do. he just laid in the sun, playing with a blade of grass in front of him

"The dog is gone," Wolfpaw was quick to try to assure Beachkit. "It's been gone a long time, and if it ever tried to come back I'd scare it off!" In an effort to make himself look Stronger, he puffed his pelt out - hoping the size disparity would put Beachkit a little more at ease.

The dog wasn't real, nor did he think Branchfoot and the rest were. It was just a dumb ghost story. "Well, as long as you ain't being a Branchfoot, I think our warriors would take it seriously. 'N if they don't, just call me. I got your back."

Beachkit -

Beachkit watched Wolfpaw become Wolfpuff and that was convincing enough to him, he did look pretty tough and fierce.. he just had an aura about him that suggested safety and protection. It relaxed him, fear vanishing rapidly in the presence of the big strong Wolfpaw. A bit dazzled by the display, he remarked, "You're going to be the toughest warrior in all of ThunderClan!" Without a question if he was willing to fend off any massive dogs.

"I don't want to be a Branchfoot! But sometimes warriors think my problems are stupid, like last moon a kit stole my tumbleweed that I was playing with first, and Mistkit made fun of me in front of the other kits. ...I didn't tell on em though." To a kit, these transgressions were serious offenses.

There was something touching about Beachkit's enthusiasm, even after having such a big scare. Wolfpaw was.. He made sure to keep his composure, bottling these thoughts up for a later time when he was alone. "I plan to!" He just wanted to do good by his mom, it just felt.. like a hill that never ended sometimes.

"None of that makes you a Branchfoot." Wolfpaw reached out to flick Beachkit's nose, it'd likely be kind of ticklish. "If that stinky Mistkit does that again, come get me - I'll steal her tumbleweed n' she'll know how it feels!"

As MintWhisker padded into the Clearing, He noticed the fresh kill pile was fairly full. "I havn't eaten today, So, It wouldn't hurt," MintWhisker said to Himself. He went over to the fresh kill pile, Passing a few other cats. A large rabbit was in the pile, And nobody was reaching for it? Just my luck, He thought happily. "Mine then," He took the rabbit and sat in the Clearing to eat.

[Blaaze]

Dustyfoot, with his unusual, limping gait, trots into the clearing. Due to his massively scarred front hind leg, he's had to develop new ways to walk, run, and hunt. Even so, he's perfected his ways of doing so and is excessively modest about it.
His nose twitched, ears flicked, and whiskers quiver as he senses the area around him. His calm and careful nature haven't ceased since his injury. Hazel-green eyes wide and watchful, he lollops like a rabbit; as his running tends to be, to a shaded spot near the edge of the clearing to relax.
The brown-tan colored tom is excessive feeling of needing to prove himself keep him busy- and leave the dedicated cat little time for fun. He tends to actually volunteer as a camp guard during the night. He enjoys its peace.
Focusing on what he was doing, he began stripping a rather small leaf of it's stem, he has to be leaning carefully to the side. His injury prevents his leg from bending to it's full extent. Once the leaf is carefully and completely free from it's binds of the stem he watches it blow. Though not able to run right, he's deft with his claws. Bored, he moves on to another nearby leaf to strip.
